Well this one caught me by surprise, F1 2015 looks like it may actually come to Linux & SteamOS which will give us another more realistic racing game.

You can see the big entry on SteamDB where Linux and Mac content is being added.
Quotelaunch/5/config/oslist: linux
launch/5/executable: f12015.sh
launch/5/type: none

While it is a major game, it has "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam. It sounds like it's a pretty buggy game, so if whoever is doing the Linux version manages to fix it up a bit, it could turn out to be a lot better for us. It could also be coming along with a new patch for the game overall, if so then everyone would win.

Nice with another big title on the way.

Now, if only I enjoyed racing-games everything would be great. I suppose it might be a bit odd... I do enjoy driving cars in games and I do enjoy participating in car-races in games...but I still don't really care for racing games. :P

Yes! Now please Dirt Rally also!

Do you mean racing games as in professional sport racing or all genres including kart racing games? I could totally understand not holding interest in pro racing as it parallels other sports genres ( I don't like sports games in general).

Pretty much all & every kind of racing game. I guess for me racing is something like a "side-dish", it goes great together with the many "main courses" of other game-genrés but by itself it always leaves me wanting to step out of the game-vehicle and pursue some other activity. ;)

If Codemasters porting this game, I see no reason why they wouldn't do Dirt Rally as well.

The career mode was always pretty good in these games.

I really hope so. With buying Grid Autosport my gaming budget for the next two months is down to zero, but I got Dirt Rally as a gift already, so if there will be a port I would really be happy about that.

Cool. As with Batman, hopefully by the time we get it on Linux the game is in a much better state than it was at release on Windows and the weeks after that.

More importantly, let me join everybody else in here saying please port Dirt Rally. Pretty please with a cherry on top.
