I'm not a big survival fan, but even I think Hurtworld looks pretty damned good. Hurtworld is a hardcore multiplayer survival FPS with a focus on deep survival progression that doesn't become trivial once you establish some basic needs.

The graphics look really nice, and the vehicles even look pretty good. I might have to check it out myself, and the early reports from people are that the Linux version is working well. It doesn't have a SteamOS icon as it's not supported fully yet, but you can try it at your own peril.

I like everything about the look of the game, even the building mechanic looks delightfully simple with leaving room for creativity to flow with designs for buildings.

It looks quite cartoony which is why I like it, reminds me a bit of TF2 from Valve.

I will have to keep an eye on this one for sure.

Thanks for the info Manny!

Im not a fan of 3D FPS survival games in practice, this does look quite nice though.

The reason why I tend not to stick to them is that they start off nice and keep a good consistent theme, with nice additions then 6 months on the devs seem to get bored and the community workshops, game servers have basically half converted the game to something resembling Garrys mod.

ARK is a classic example in progress of a Survival game that just turns into another 'amusing' sandbox without much survival at all with terrible performance to boot. Yet looking back over that initial trailer it was promising so much more co-op exploration and a decent narrative .. now its just painting tits on a gorilla and riding it around.

The one that got it right was Don’t Starve.

I can't help myself but this isn't a ripoff of Rust then nothing is.

Does it matter if it is as long as it's good? It's looks really neat - too bad that it is another early access fps survival game :)

I really like the art style. Might get this one, but I will probably wait until a "stable" linux release are out before I buy it.
Could this be something u could play on GoL maybe?

Can you tell us more about the Linux build? Do I buy the game and opt into a beta or what? :P

I bought it, and runs really good on my fedora 21, no bugs or anything, just smooth.
