Ruzar - The Life Stone is a well reviewed first person dungeon crawler (think Legend of Grimrock if you need a comparison) now on SteamOS & Linux.
I might have to check this one out, as you only control one character rather than a party like many others in the genre, so it sounds like it was designed for someone like me!
About the game
Ruzar - The Life Stone is a dungeon crawler RPG game in which you play an adventurer who needs to discover the powerful Life Stone. Do you have the skills to survive in the deadliest dungeons of the Mountain of Ruz and recover the legendary artefact?
Features
> Explore the Mountains of Ruz to discover the Life Stone through the numerous dungeons, hidden secrets and deadly creatures.
> Customize your character with more than 50+ skills and spells.
> Storage Chamber that help store your items
> Binding Stones to help you travel between the different levels
> Fire Camp to help you survive in the dungeons
> Buy, sell your items or grind creatures to find loots.
> Accomplish quests to uncover the mystery of Ruz.
> A nice twist to the classic dungeon crawling game with one single character you can customize and evolve up to the level 50.
If you do check it out, be sure to come back and tell us what you think about it.

Seems interesting, also take a look at this: The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians

Is it randomized? That's the one thing I didn't like about Legend of Grimrock because it really limited the replay value.

Yes! Great game. And the developer is awesome - constantly adding features requested by the userbase, including several of my own requests. I also made a Steam Controller config and shared it publicly, and it feels really good!
And for fans of sci-fi, there's StarCrawlers.

There are some pretty good fan mods out there, so that's a plus.

Sweet! I played a little bit of The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians and it seemed really good, but also seemed to scream for the steam controller. I think I'll have to be spending some special time with it tonight.
I am a huge fan of Dungeon Master, was going to re-beat it on my Amiga and then import the characters into Chaos Strikes Back (which I never have completed), just haven't had the time.
