Shiness, a successfully crowd-funded RPG game has release a new teaser trailer, and it looks fantastic.
The game itself was likely covered by one of the past Funding Crowd articles, but here's a refresher.
About the game (Official)
Shiness is a Role Playing Game which will make you dive into a new adventure across Sky Islands. In a world where every land strives for power, two Wakis named Chado and Poky, traveling aboard a flying boat, accidentally land on a very dangerous island. Prepare yourself for an epic journey into a huge universe that will be remembered for a long time! With its unexpected storylines and nervous gameplay, Shiness is waiting for you to play that story imagined 20 years ago by our Creative Director and finally taken to life.
Influences
In the game Shiness, it's all about what we loved in Chrono Cross,Secret of Mana,Zelda,Naruto and Final Fantaisies Games.
I can certainly see the combat being a bit like Naruto, and I love it as a big Naruto fan myself.
With how great it looks, and Linux has been a platform since the Kickstarter, I think I will have to get this one. No word I can find on a release date though.

I didn't have money at the time of the Kickstarter but have it on my radar since. Looks pretty cool.

It's the long-awaited sequel to Quest 64!

I'm not really into furries, but besides that I think it looks cool. I'll wait for reviews to find out if the gameplay and story are up to snuff.

Holy crap, this looks like EXACTLY the kind of thing I'd love. This is definitely one to watch for, at least for me.

Doesn't look like it was. I can't even find it in the crowdfunding wiki muntdefems maintained. They announced Linux support one week into the campaign, so that's probably why we missed it.
It does look gorgeous though.

Stop releasing all these great-looking games. I can't buy them all. This is unfair. :'(

Graphically has a similar vibe to the Tales series. Will pick this up for sure, it's not like we're getting any of the big-name JRPG devs even knowing Linux exists any time soon.

a bit off topic, but does anybody know why the linux demo of this also promising looking jrpg
was removed?

I like the art style, looks amazing. it seemed from the trailer all the characters use martial arts to some degree, or did i miss something? Kind of wish there was more variety to each character's fight style. still looks like i might give it a go, if reviews show this to be decent.

Munts did move this one into the completed section, but nope, we never covered it, at least when I was writing for TFC. In fact, we've barely covered any of Ynnis' titles for some reason, although I notice HadBabits covered Kill The Bad Guy a few months ago.
[Edit: Just to say, god I loved Naruto on Xbox360 back in the day, so really looking forward to this!]

It looks... interesting, though I can't really get a handle on exactly how the game will play. Is it an actual role playing with character progression and meaningful choices and consequences, or is it a "roll" playing game, where character progression is automatic and dialog options are basically:
"Hey! Let's go rescue Uncle Bob!"
>Yes
>No
[Player selects "no"]
"Don't be silly. Of course you want to rescue Uncle Bob! Let's go!"
Well, let's hope they make good on their promise of a Linux version, because we've been burned too many times before.

Even more glad I covered it then, thanks flesk :)

This looks right up my alley, so I hope it really is as good as it looks.

Really not a fan of those character designs.

Looks promising! Precisely what I been yammering on about for what Linux lacks. :)

If they have a DRM free version of Shiness to go with the LInux version then they will have my money.

I'am not really a fan of anime (with the exception of Berserk), but this looks amazing.
Will buy it IF it won't cost over 20 euro :)
