Steam is having a whopper of a sale right now

"Sunken", "Halfway", "Never Alone" and "Blues and Bullets" so far.

This would be a fairly great "linux-christmas" if only some titles among : "Stasis", "Darkest Dungeon", "Clandestine", "Rebel Galaxy", "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" or "Technobabylon" could have a "Surprise Linux Release"! ;)

On the Steam sale so far I've only bought Grid Autosport, but a few days ago I bought Shadow of Mordor and Cities Skylines from GMG for about 9€ each (they are Linux versions, I checked!), and Trine 3 from the Humble Store as well as a heavily discounted DLC for Europa Universalis 4.
By the way, I bought them all from my android phone but activated the codes on Linux, I sure hope that doesn't mean the money won't go to the Linux devs??? If it somehow went to the Windows devs that would be just miserable (and make absolutely no sense, I haven't touched a Windows machine for years outside of work).

Anyone recommend any good Local Multiplayers with Full Controller support? I want to collect a couple more Steam Controllers and some Local games to play w/ friends.

FORCED is a good one.
Seriour sam 3 too, but it is quite demanding.
Then, little games like MONACO or The binding of Isaac Rebirth.

I also know some others like shatter, a virus named tom, or Portal 2. L4D2 also has a splitscreen mode, but you have to access it trough the console.
Screencheat might be fun, but I didn't try it. Don't starve together might be interesting too.
Too bad I don't have my steam client near me, I have a category dedicated to those. I am fond of local multiplayer games :)

- Grim Fandango Remastered
- TIS-100 (Programming puzzle game)
- Crypt of the NecroDancer

I don't know, but I just want to be sure, if I was at my PC within the first week then. I would be happier to buy via the app then activate on Linux.

It was listed as supported platform in the requirements section and had the Linux logo. I understand this as they are selling Linux keys too. I hope I'm not wrong :-(

I don't even want to tell what I bought... Way to many games.. Anyway, what I wanted to say:

Gabe Newell Simulator also just came out for Linux.
Correction: It actually installs the windows exe (!)

On the other Hand:
Moebius: Empire Rising
and
Age of Survival
Don't offer anything to download on Linux, even tough Age of Survival has a "linux" beta you can choose. And both feature the SteamOS icon.

Also: Flight of the Paladin installs windows .exes as well.

Steam lists multiple developers and publishers for this, depending on platform. Buying from Steam on Linux gets money to the right place, see further down about buying from Steam using a phone.

It wouldn't be the first time that GMG have behaved in a way that some people thought was a bit dodgy.

The same developers and publishers put those out on all platforms so the money will go to the right place. Steam will tell them what platform you activated the keys on, and although it won't affect who gets paid it is good that they know their efforts for Linux have benefited them so it is good you've done that.

The store you bought it from will see that you were using Android but that won't affect what platform the key is counted as. The exception is when buying directly from the Steam store, where the platform (and in the case of Grid Autosport who gets paid) will be set after 1 or 2 weeks, based on where it was played the most, or if not played where it was installed (or activated?) first, or if not installed/activated then it'll default to Windows.

Well, that's a bummer, seem like Feral will be missing out on the money from SoM then. I guess I'll have to rethink buying from GMG again in the future.
