I love Dying Light (apart from the ending), and with Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition being a massive update (and a DLC), I couldn't be happier.

Here’s the new teaser:

QuoteA New Challenge Every Day. The Bounties are unique objectives that change daily and let you greatly bump up your XP – especially for the upcoming Legend Levels. Our video introduces all three Bounty types: Basic, Dailies, and Community. The Bounties are part of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, which launches February 9th 2016.

Reminder: You get Dying Light Enhanced Edition free for having the game, as it's a game update, but The Following is a DLC. If you have the Season Pass like me, you get The Following in it.

Free stuff
During their livestream they gave out the code “#TweetForSpeed” (yeah I watched it), if you redeem that here https://dockets.dyinglightgame.com (including the #) and link your account to Steam the quartermaster will have some new stuff for you. I don’t know how long that code will work, so act fast. Worked great for me, gave me some powerful gear. It will appear like so:

The code worked for me. Thanks!

I brought the game, but my graphics card doesn't run it well enough for the game to really be playable, so I'm holding off playing it until I get an upgrade (hopefully soon). Really looking forward to it.

Does "Enhanced Edition" actually FIX the COOP issues? NO. Doesn't look so "enhanced" to me. It bother me a bit that I only see good news and no word about this issues here on this blog. Because once you beat the game on single-player you probably want to play coop, but this bug is completely ignored by the devs and GOL. :(

Says who? I was only unable to connect to Samsai, but I've had plenty of people join my own session, and I've joined others.

Says the "Steam forums". Search for "disconnect" on the forums. This problem doesn't affect windows users (much) that join your session. Just Linux <-> Linux or Linux -> Windows.

I'm willing to try Dying Light again when the Enhanced Edition releases. Dying Light was my favorite game pre 1.0.6, and I honestly thought it would be in my top five favorite Linux games. I was enjoying excellent graphics and frantic gameplay all at a good framerate on a 980M, this all happened when I was trying to move to Linux 100%, and I can honestly say I didn't miss Windows one bit then. Then 1.0.6 hit and my framerate tanked to around 5fps on a good day assuming the game launched at all.

I admit every patch or distro swap (there was a point in time when I was trying other distros) had me revisiting Dying Light and every time the game would either fail to launch or run slower than Grandpa's boyhood slideshows.

So you bet I'll try it again when the Enhanced Edition comes out because you never know. ^_^

Quoting: GuestNever heard of that happening. My experience was their OpenGL engine was horrible, then it was a little better, then it was quite a bit better, but still ~30% below Direct3D speed.

So, like most other ports right now then in reality they aren't doing too bad.

I still have bugs, no door animation wardrobes, low quality textures, too often crashes and coop connection drops.
