We are firmly into the new year now, so what have you all been playing recently? It's been a while since I asked!

I have been doing the usual rounds of testing random games I find here and there, but I think Hand of Fate is still the game that has impressed me the most recently. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Im "playing" The Stanley Parable atm. Before I started on D:OS but the story turned too wacky too fast for my liking. Besides it only runs on the blobs but Im currently trying to change that.

I'm playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (in Wine). Never played it before and I'm enjoying it so far. Looking forward to play the native sequel when Aspyr will pull it together to release it on GOG.

Daily dose of Natural Selection 2 and also some Europa Universalis IV. Surprisingly good soundtrack in the latter and of course deep and complex gameplay. This thread suggests me to jump into Saints Row IV asap and I feel like I can't just decline.

As a big fan of fishing in real life, Fishing Planet gets a bit of play time each day from me. So does AdVenure Capitalist, but I'm not sure why... I also put a few hours into The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians and love it. I also spent a couple hours in Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, but I'm not sure if I'll continue on or not. And I just started playing Dust: An Elysian Tail.

Not much. Been working on getting NVENC set up, upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04, testing out different desktop environments to get one that I like the most (I think Gnome's definitely one of my favorites.), and hopefully testing Arch here soon.

I mainly play CS:GO as well as finishing up Mordor right now if I do play. Though I'm waiting for Payday2 and Batman: Arkham Knight to release.

Actually, does anybody know of any good games to recommend? I'm looking for something fast paced and possibly along the lines of an FPS.

Survival games wouldn't be bad either.

Is Broforce worth the money?

Been playing lots of Assault Android Cactus, alternating between mouse and keyboard and my Steam Controller. Still getting used to the controller, but I'm loving it so far. I got myself a gtx 950 coming, which should make about a dozen games playable. I did get Grid Autosport running at 800 x 600 lowest settings. First game I've seen that will stay fullscreen at that resolution. Very well made and well ported. Can't wait to play Shadow of Mordor.

Broforce, Saints Row IV & Gat Out of Hell, Alien: Isolation, Plage Inc: Evolved, Escape Goat 2, Cities: Skylines & FEZ in Steam & OpenTTD, 20+ years & it still isn't boring.

This year I've spent my time on Broforce and Pillars of Eternity.
Is Broforce worth the money?
The game is golden, one of the best games I've been playing recently.
I've paid 5,99 euro on Steam sale and it was the best decission I could have made.
However, I loved it so much I finished it in 2 days - Steam shows that I've played the game for 10 hours. With current price it will be 1,39 euro / hour cost, however it's worth it.
Regarding issues I had playing only on Linux - sometimes levels take much time to load with any indicator but black screen being displayed - up to 30 seconds, which was annoying. And I had 3 crashes to the desktop.
I was not playing multiplayer but seems game is perfect for cooperation, like Metal Slug series.
Having all this written, I can say that the answer to your question is: Yes.
:)

Divinity: Original Sin EE. not too far into it but finding it totally stable on Mint. just got the Steam Controller -- great piece of kit! -- and that's made the game even more fun to play. :)

i look forward to checking out some of the other games mentioned, a few titles there i hadn't heard of.

Over the holidays I've been playing local co-op games only. Most popular were TowerFall Ascension and Broforce. Others played include Crawl, Gang Beasts, Never Alone, Pix the Cat & Serious Sam 3: BFE.
