GOL Asks: What have you been playing recently?

By -
We are firmly into the new year now, so what have you all been playing recently? It's been a while since I asked!

I have been doing the usual rounds of testing random games I find here and there, but I think Hand of Fate is still the game that has impressed me the most recently. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Skullgirls. Would also be playing Storm United but it's still tough to find an active server without BOTS.

Divinity: Original Sin EE (great game, beautiful, but crashy). Before that, KOTOR II (25h playthrough for like 3€, crazy), Read Only Memories.

Insurgency and Pillars of Eternity mostly, and a little bit of OpenClonk, No more room in hell, Balanced Annihilation ...

I was very happy when I gave Divinity: Original Sin a spin and thought the xmas was set. Finally a RPG for Linux with the production values I look for. But then... I fired up Saints Row 4. Mainly just to have a peek and check the performance, but discovered that this game was a lot better than I expected. And runs like a charm.

As a Matrix fan I just loved the setting so much - and when I discovered the space hub was one giant homage to my favourite game franchise of all time, Mass Effect, well then I was sold. Highly recommended if your preferences are anywhere near mine.

Rogue Legacy, BattleBlock Theater and Star Trek Judgement Rites. All three are really, really good games.

Mostly replaying old games with my new Steam controller; Kotor 2, Borderlands 2, Guacamelee, and Half-Life 2. It's been pretty sweet.
