It's great to see it happen, but I do wonder why it really took so long?
The developer said this on Steam:

Quico’s best friend, Monster, is a huge beast with razor-sharp teeth, but that doesn’t scare Quico away from playing with him. That said, Monster does have a very dangerous problem: an addiction to poisonous frogs. The minute he sees one hop by, he’ll scarf it down and fly into a violent, frog-induced rage where no one, including Quico, is safe. And yet, Quico loves his Monster and wants to save him.
As Quico, players will build their friendship with Monster by solving puzzles together and adventuring through a magical, surrealist world. Players will need to learn to use Monster’s emotions, both good and bad, to their advantage if they want to complete their search for a cure and save their pal. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Wow, I wonder what took so long. The DRM-free version from Humble Bundle supported Steam achievements and everything when I played it around a year ago. At the time it seemed to fully support Steam but just hadn't been uploaded to Steam. I'm surprised it took so long to do.

Oh well, glad it's out. I might buy it one day, but with all the awesome games coming out it might slip through the cracks for a couple of years. :P

This game is one of those few available masterpieces, the sound, graphics, story, gameplay, fun puzzles, it's just worth to play.

Always happy when my Steam library grows with classy games, even if I won't play them. This is a very charming game with a lot of style, but the core mechanics, which are fun at first, get boring relatively fast.

One of the best ever stories in a platformer. Great to finally have it on Steam, though like km3k, I don't understand why it took so long.
Both versions have the same version in BuildVersion.txt, so I diffed the md5 hashes of everything in both versions out of curiosity, and the contents are identical, except that the Steam version doesn't have the uninstaller or the .mojosetup directory.

I read someone else who confirmed they are the exact same builds. So, either the developer just couldn't be bothered, or it was a Humble exclusive deal for a while.

Great news. I played the Humble version and thought it was superb. Nice that they finally got around to setting up the Steam port. I hope their sales help them see it was worth it! I might gift it to a few people who find Steam easier than the Humble store,,,

The god news for me is that I had never heard of this game and now I have. Looks interesting. I'll be going for the DRM free version though. I am always open to a Steam version to those who want it. Choice is possibly the greatest strength the PC platform has whether it be your choice of Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam, DRM Free, etc.

Somehow I cannot get this game to run with optirun/primusrun (bumblebeee enabled) on Mint 17.3
Hopefully it gets fixed soon, as the Intel chip doesn't offer great performance...

Bought it in some Bundle a couple years ago, and never played it (for obvious reasons) until it appeared as downloadable in my Steam library. Glad to finally get a chance to completely fail at playing it
