Team Fortress 2 is a great free game for when you're bored, and the experience on Linux should be quite a bit better now too.
Yesterdays update shows the developers working on Linux performance with this change "Significantly reduced memory usage on Mac and Linux clients". It's good to see they are still paying attention to us.
See the full changelog here.
For the TF2 gamers amongst us, how's it looking now? I found it hilarious with the Steam Controller.

one small detail. It is not a "free game", it is a "free to play game".

It's more like a sell stuff to earn money to pay to win game. ;)

I think this is an important difference.
Serena, The Plan, You have to win the game, these are free games. They don't make money with it.
With Team Fortress 2 and many other games, they do make money, it's just a different way of monetization.
Steam makes the same difference: At the price tag, they either display "Free" or "Free to play".

For this title, it's a silly argument. All game-play aspects are 100% free.
