Looks like the 2013 game Tomb Raider is heading to SteamOS & Linux according to new information popping up on SteamDB.

I'm actually a big fan of the game, as I played it when it came out on PS3, but sadly I never got to finish it for various reasons. Being able to do so on my favourite system, that's bloody brilliant.

I wonder who's doing the port? Any guesses folks?

About this game (Official)

Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. There is "feral_external_test_team" branch and Feral ported this game to OSX so i'm 100% sure that Feral will release Linux version.

Really great news. On the downside we have to wait probably 2 months or even longer as usual. Last year I was hoping for TR13 to be released before TR16, but that is obviously impossible now.

Quoting: ZeloxI imagen this is a test, if tomb raider from 2013 sells good, we will see the second game ported aswell.
I hope the port is good, cause the game is really good overall ^^
I don't think the game has so much sale potential anymore, I got it for 4€ in 2014 (shame on me, I think it was my last Win only/Wine game), on the Winter sale it was sold for 3€. I will buy the DLC, no doubt.

Even in that case, if it proves profitable (if the pc code was not very windows dependant, it might have been a cheap port, so it would not require huge sales to be so), we might see more games coming.

Wow, if they make Tomb Raider for Linux, chances are that Rise of Tomb Raider will come for Linux too.

Too bad that I already bought them for Windows.

Great news! Already played on PS3 and like it. I hope for more Tomb Raider games being ported, especially new one and TR Anniversary.

Tomb Raider 2013 shows it's being ported just when "Rise of Tomb Raider" arrives... it's too much coincidence, isn't it? :p
