I know you lot love your simulators, so how about Construction Simulator 2015? The developer has a Linux build, but it needs testers.
QuoteI made a linux build so it is possible to port the game. But we currently don't have the time to test it and to provide any support.
What we can do is provide interested players access to a special branch in steam so they can test the build and report any issues. But this is only possible for players that already bought the game.
Even if the build is working this is no guarantee there will be an offical release of the linux version.
As i said:
We can't provide any support and we are not sure whether the build runs at all. I will try to help you with problems, but we can't say for sure this will work. So all this happens at your own risk!
So if you want to join this test, this are the basic steps:
Send me a mail with the following content
Your linux system specs
Your username in steam
to [email protected]
you then will get instructions on how to get the linux build.
If you installed the game on a linux machine please report back to me. Regardless of whether the game is running or not. We need as much information as possible!

About the game
Construction Simulator: Gold Edition includes the full version of the simulation hit, all previously released expansions, and more!
19 realistic construction vehicles, including original machines and trucks manufactured by Liebherr, MAN, and STILL, as well as various trailers for the true-to-life MAN tractor truck are all included together in one package for the first time in the Gold Edition. The already extensive motor pool of the core game has been significantly expanded with the Liebherr LB 28 drilling rig, complete with new functions, as well as the Liebherr LR 1300 crawler crane, the Liebherr 150 EC-B flat top crane, and the escort vehicle for heavy loads.
In this game, the developers have paid special attention to creating a game with a realistic feel, whether the player is working on projects or operating vehicles. You can, for example, operate a digger with two joysticks using SAE controls!

Looks pretty interesting and I'd be up for testing .. but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend $15 on a game that might not work.
Aww heck, I'll take one for the team ;)
Update: Picked it up for $7.87ish here

So, they clicked the Linux build button in Unity, but can't be bothered to actually download and install Linux to try if it works. Support is one thing, but this seems a bit lazy. But I guess it's still better than nothing if indeed one of their existing customers happens to dual boot and is willing to test for them...
EDIT: I guess they found their first tester already. Maybe I underestimated the game's appeal. :)

I have a question. Why is "impact" the font of choice for almost all these simulator games despite being made by different developers? With the exception of ETS2 which is gold, it's also always white with a black shadow. Did they all get together somewhere and decide this was the best course of action at their annual simulator game developer piss-up? Maybe the Train Simulator people had to use a different font because they lost at a drinking game. There are probably far more rational explanations for this, but I prefer this outlandish one.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroI have a question. Why is "impact" the font of choice for almost all these simulator games despite being made by different developers?Because Impact is a meme font and "simulators" is a Steam meme. You know, "walking simulator", "rock simulator", "tea party simulator" etc. Or am I digging too deep? -_-

It seems to me that people just blindly follow Microsoft.

Most of these games aren't memes though, they're deadly serious, as adolson has pointed out.
