Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc a popular anime styled visual novel is now available on Linux & SteamOS.
From their release announcement:
QuoteTux and Monokuma, separated at birth? The two are together at last now that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc supports Linux and SteamOS!
Note regarding NVIDIA drivers:
There is a widespread issue with recent drivers (361.18 and 361.28) that affects multiple titles.
While we work on a fix, we recommend you to use driver version 358 or below.
Thank you for your support and understanding!
About the game
Hope's Peak Academy is home to Japan's best and brightest high school students—the beacons of hope for the future. But that hope suddenly dies when Makoto Naegi and his classmates find themselves imprisoned in the school, cut off from the outside world and subject to the whims of a strange, murderous little bear named Monokuma. He pits the students against each other, promising freedom to anyone who can murder a fellow classmate and get away with it.
It's up to you to find out who Monokuma really is, and why you've been taken from the world you once knew. But be careful what you wish for—sometimes there’s nothing more deadly than the truth...

I only played only ~20min before going to bed yesterday but already got me hooked!
Although it probably is not everyone's game, if you like a weird story and solving puzzles it should definitely be worth a try.
P.S. So far no problems with newer NVIDIA drivers

I have the problem with nvidia 361.28. Looks like it's an issue with linking to their version of libSDL2 in my case. I'll probably just switch to nvidia 358.xx when I get home from work, assuming they don't have a patch out by then yet.

I liked the anime and games like Phoenix Wright are great, so probably will buy it soonish.

I watched the anime, and some gameplay from psvita version, and like it's mentioned here, it's exactly the same.
For a game that is story centric, if you have watched the anime, you know exactly what you have to do next.
If you want a good game the reviews say that this one is a good one. But if you have seen the anime, like I did some time ago, I think it looses all it can give.

Rolling back to a 358 Nvidia driver did indeed get rid of my issues. The game is already pretty bonkers right out of the gate. Good times.

If you install 361.28 yourself, GLVND should be disabled by default. If you use some random repo, who knows... they probably enabled it.
Edit: I bought the game last night out of curiosity, and it indeed plays just fine for me with 361.28. I installed it myself, didn't use any pre-made packages.
