Well, looks like Techland are at least paying some sort of attention to their Linux port, not much mind. They just released a hotfix to Dying Light that should fix up the low resolution texture issue. I did a quick test, and it does indeed look like it's fixed (for me at least). See the update at the bottom too.
This makes the single player properly playable again, now I just need to keep at them to fix up the co-op connection issues. I tried co-op with some people in our IRC the other night, with 100% failure trying to connect to each other in different trials. We also tested connecting to other public games with 100% failure. Techland have my logs (many logs) like they did with the texture issues, they just need to get going.
QuotePatch (hotfix) 1.10.1 release notes:
* Disabled VAC when playing coop on LAN
* Fixed rare issue with infinite loading or crash when starting the game
Linux specific:
* Fixed textures streaming issue

Update
Sadly, their support team don't really listen to anything I say to them, after sending multiple logs from their game including a "hardinfo" readout of my entire system (at their request) this was their reply about the co-op issues on Linux:
QuoteMake sure your OpenGL version is 4.4 or higher, please. Also, the issue may be caused by having installed the game on an XFS partition. If that is the case, please consider changing it to EXT4 to play Dying Light.
In other words "we didn't read anything you sent us, not even the issue you're having". I also have a Nvidia 980ti and I'm not sure what OpenGL versions have to do with broken co-op play, and I'm on ext4, so neither is actually an issue.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
I was going to buy this game for my Linux system... I'll pass if this is how they deal with bugs

Hmm, today I've got a Hunter connected to my game while I was in the middle of a quest. Quite surprising and I lost him 3-4 times, just don't know what to do to escape him. So I switched the game type to private and he left. After that I tried to co-op with randoms and had 100% connection failure. Weird.

Following performance is just horrible(32FPSavg), tough Old Town im getting 50FPS avg...that's just strange as in Windows I get 45FPS on Following

What's those co-op bugs?
I just completed (main+side quests, nests etc) The Following on Nightmare and didn't notice bugs except one.
I have "Crashed plane" mark on map but can't do anything to that plane, i think its bugged.
Edit: and it's just bug where the mark stays even if we completet that quest, just checked quests.

The patch seems to fix the low texture issue for me, only once I encounted some low texture boxes, but besides that no low texture ground anymore...

I'm still getting low res textures, although not as often. It seems to happen only after entering new areas. In the area I spawn all the textures are fine, however in a newly loaded area some textures are low res.

LOL. When I submitted my co-op bug they gave me some random unrelated PS4 solution. Their tech support is a joke.

Well, not sure what was fixed about the low textures "bug".
Before this new patch I had no low textures whatsoever, not one.
Is only now that I'm starting to see them, and a lot of them.
