The new Master of Orion is coming to Linux, but you know that already if you read us often. The awesome news is the voice cast has been revealed, and it's awesome.

I don't particularly like Mark Hamill as an actor, but he's seem really great as a voice actor, impressed.Oh, he's a fantastic voice actor! Surely you know his performance as The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series (and its films) and the Arkham games.

Unfoooooortunately, Early Access starts with Windows only. Mac/Linux will be added later so don't be overexcited. Yet.
From the Store Page:
Windows 64bit will be the only initial operating system supported, though we will be rolling out support for Mac OS, Linux and Steam OS over time.
Really? Oh man, that must be a new addition since they only recently confirmed Linux. We just need to keep the pressure on ;)

Sure, but first I'd like to know the state of the game on Windows at least. The overall quality, amount of content etc. If it sells well and has positive reviews, it's only natural to start pushing the demand of Linux version. Also, interesting to know the engine they're using. I suspect Unity but who knows, it could be even UE4. Facial animation is way too fluent for Unity (or I haven't seen such quality among Unity titles yet).

Oh yeah. Iconic Joker. I can still remember his performance in that episode when he thought Batman was dead and he had the guy who "killed" him. Puzzlement, disbelief, increasing unease, anger shading to total flipout, and then "That was fun. Who's for Chinese?"
