The new Humble Weekly Bundle comes with some nice Linux games

By herrgnatz -
The current Humble Weekly Bundle: Orbyt Play offers six games of which are three for Linux and one that is partly supported by now. Only one of them is DRM-free, the others are Steam-only.

For $1 or more you get INK by ZackBellGames, a 2D platformer where you have to color your surroundings to reveal them. You could also try to reach the goal of a level without painting anything but you won't see any obstacles.

About the game:
INK is a fast-paced platformer about using colorful paint to uncover your surroundings.

INK has a similar feel to hardcore platformers like Super Meat Boy. The object of each level is to defeat all of the enemies in the room (if any) and reach the goal. However, the terrain is invisible to the player. The player can discover terrain by physically bumping into it, or by performing a double jump. The double jump sprays paint bullets out of the player and increases the player’s awareness of their surroundings. If the player happens to bump into spikes or falls to their death, paint will also shoot out from the player’s last position. The room isn’t wiped clean after death so that the player has an easier time navigating after multiple attempts! This expanded Steam version includes new mechanics, Boss encounters to provide a nice challenge and a change of pace.

In the average tier (which is around $3 by now) you get Grim Fandango Remastered by Double Fine Productions. This is the only game which also comes DRM-free.

About the game:
Something's rotten in the land of the dead, and you're being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there's trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.

One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award upon its original launch. Grim Fandango still stands as a classic of the genre, with unforgettable characters and unique combination of film noir and Mexican folklore.

If you pay $8 or more you'll also get Party Hard, a tactical strategy game where you have to get rid of you neighbors in order to end their party which, in your opinion, is way too loud. In order to achieve this you can use your surroundings in various ways.

About the game:
In Party Hard, you play as someone who is really tired of the neighbors having loud parties. Instead of calling the police, you decide it’s a better idea to kill everyone – using your faithful knife and the environment. The tactical strategy follows a series of killings at parties through-ought the USA.

The developers used to work mostly on casual, family-friendly games - until they participated in a game jam, creating the first prototype for Party Hard. TinyBuild backed up the original developers – Pinokl Games – to create a full version that's now on Steam!

Party Hard has semi-procedural environments and focus on unique ways of killing people. In the greatest traditions of sneaking games, your main goal is not to get caught, while silently picking off unsuspecting victims one by one. Dancing and blending in during a suspicious situation is key.

Also in the $1 tier you get SpeedRunners which still is in Early Access and has no official Linux version. According to the Steam forums the developers are working on an official Linux release which should come when the game is out of Early Access. By now you can install it but Steam thinks you have the demo version of the game where you can only play offline on three different maps. Other than that it works like a charm.

About the game:
In a city filled with superheroes, getting to crimes becomes a competition on its own. Fortunately there are enough rockets, bombs, grappling hooks, spikes, and other goodies lying around -- to make the competition fun and fast. Welcome to SpeedRunners.

SpeedRunners is a 4 player competitive platformer with grappling hooks, power-ups, and interactive environments. Run, jump, swing around, fire rockets, grapple onto people to knock them off screen.

I played a few rounds today and yesterday. No problems so far. But still... it's only the demo.
Also it probably won't count as a Linux sale.

I bought the game but when I install it on Linux I can only play the demo!
As of now for Linux the developers have ported only the demo build of the game. When the full game will be ported to Linux you'll get it free of charge. In the meantime if you want to play the full version of the game you have to play on a Windows machine (or a Virtual machine capable of running Windows applications)
