GOL Asks: What have you been playing recently?

By -
It's been another few months since I asked this question, so let's see what you have all been up to recently! There's so many games on Linux now we are spoilt for choice.

Myself, I have been playing a fair bit of the strategy game/collectible card game Faeria which I have fallen a little in love with.

We also had a bit of a multiplayer game on Sid Meier's Civilization V with myself, Samsai, BTRE and a fellow named Gnarface from IRC. I have to say, that game has given me a renewed interest in Civilization V, and I hope Aspyr are able to fix the game up soon for newer Nvidia drivers as it became an issue for me. I ended up having to use my Steam Machine with the older more stable drivers.

What have you been playing? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Revisiting Don't Starve for completitionist itch (lot of new, slight changes there), and writing in-depth review about Bioshock Infinite. Ran out of steam for Team Fortess 2. Looking forward to get all kind of new games later this year, just need more time.

In other news: Dying Light got a DRM-free release on gog.com -- but windows only.

Divinity: Original Sin (all my characters are level 20 but I'm missing a Star Stone ...)
SUPERHOT (the most innovative shooter I've played in years) ;-)
Overgrowth (which finally is starting to show some chance that it might actually get finished)

After giving the Fun Pimps such a hard time for their awful Linux support, I finally got around to playing the late Alpha 13 version of 7 Days to Die.

I have to say, it's really, really good. It's get absolutely panned in the Steam reviews right now - lots of people preferred Alpha 12, so I'm going to re-voice my hatred of reviews for Early Access games... but since I never played Alpha 12, I'm coming in fresh and it's really superb.

Like Minecraft, only with good graphics. Well, and a lot more detail hunger/thirst, warmth/chill, clothes, infection, and a really, really slick crafting system. And of course, a huge variety of zombies.

So, yeah - definitely worth checking that out if you haven't played it yet.

Divinity: OS, Talos Principle, Dreamfall: Chapters, and Amnesia: TDD (because I realized at some point that I'd never finished it the first time)
Edit: Oh! and this great user-created campaign for SR:HK, The Caldecott Caper!

Haven't had much time recently, but I'm slowly going through the Shadowrun: Hong Kong expansion.

After I've read here that Knights & Merchants was released on Steam for Linux (as wine wrapped version) I've started to play it. 4 days later I've 14 hours in game and I've realized that this is a game that I loved so much back in the days and now I remember why. I'm on 7th mission (almost done) and I guess I will continue to play it next weekend and week as well.
Before K&M I was playing Pillars of Eternity.

Alas, I have mostly been playing the gf's copy of Stardew Valley in wine recently. I've not even played Xcom 2 for a few weeks..

Other than that, I've been playing Openxcom on my phone, and Final Fantasy X on my PS4.
