Round Table discussion:
Pros and Cons of Linux as a Gaming Platform
Pros:
-Awesome community developed driver efforts
-Can tailor it for performance, change desktop environment etc.
-Rapidly growing list of games available
-More vendor (distribution platform) support *Steam, GOG, etc.*
-The platform is guaranteed to evolve towards the needs of the industry and its consumers, rather than the needs of a company
-Overall state of Wine gaming (sidetopic: general emulation on linux vs windows) and how far it has cometh - a bit of taboo, but a pro nontheless
Cons:
-Lack of vendor provided/supported drivers
-Lags in behind in OpenGL as opposed to most recent released versions
-Performance not up to par with Windows counterparts *games running at lower FPS*
-The many different *nix distros can be a barrier to developers as far as official support
-We have developers who don’t want to be here

So GoL has a podcast now, I like where this is going.
We will do an ogg version along side in the future. This time the 'cast ended up a lot longer than we were intending, so the editing took longer and its a few days late to be online because of that. But we will at least do it next time, were still finding our feet with it all xP. I'll do the ogg export for this one too and send it over to Matt so he receives it later today.
Edit: I also changed the address of the files, will leave the original MP3 in place for a day or so to allow anyone who is streaming it atm to finish it.

This is unfortunately true; Armello and a few others would not run for me when I tried Manjaro :( . I went back to Ubuntu MATE (running 16.04 beta, and it's stable as hell).
