QuoteExpect something next week.
Source
Given that recently they said it was practically ready, I expect next week will be the full Linux release.
Quite exciting as the game is well reviewed, it looks good and it's yet another title I've personally wanted to play. I see quite a number of people from my own Steam friends list also have it on their wishlist, so hopefully it will sell reasonably well on Linux.
About the game (Official)
Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring. Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes against unimaginable horrors, stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark. Can you keep your heroes together when all hope is lost?

Sweet! It's about time and with any luck "Stasis" and the official release of "Sunless Sea" will happen sometime in the same neighborhood.
This trio of games have sounded like the linux release is only hours away, for quite a while now.
(and of course "BG: Siege of Dragonspear" hopefully arrives on the 31:st, next week might be a great one) <3

Isn't Sunless Sea already available? It was part of some Humble Indie Bundle iirc, and it shows in my Steam Library under Linux&Steam OS.

Woohoo, this is awesome news.
And yes, Sunless Sea is already available. I've been playing it for the last couple of weeks.
EDIT: Still haven't updated their Steam page for some reason, but I did pick it up in that humble bundle and have been running it through Steam since...

Well, yeah it's available. However : "we still have some work to do to support Steam OS before we can tick the little box that says 'Linux and Steam OS'. From the store page it won't look like we are officially supporting Linux, but the build is in fact official."
The build is "official", or so they say. But I've been hesitant whether Steam considers it so be Officially On Linux/A Linux Sale before they actually do tick that little box with the SteamOS/Linux symbol. So I've held off on buying it until that happens

Fair enough, never hurts to be cautious. I can tell you from my experiences that I've played 20+ hours of Sunless Sea and the game has run without a hitch. No crashes, no glitches, smooth sailing (pun definitely intended) 100% of the time. The game throws up a warning for me saying that it wasn't intended to be played above 1080p and I may have problems, but I've run it at 1440p at max settings the whole time and I haven't encountered a single problem. I do wish they had an option to increase font size, though, at 1440p the text is really small. Anyway, that's just my experience. obviously, YMMV.Isn't Sunless Sea already available? I've spent the last week punching myself in the face, preparing for this game.
...I think I'm ready.

I have to admit that in the beginning I wasn't particularly thrilled about this game. But the longer I've been looking into this title the more interested I became. I really like the art style and the dark and gritty atmosphere now. So, if this gets released for Linux I’ll definitely consider picking the game up.

Been looking forward to this one for ages as I've watched NorthernLion LP it. Between this and Stardew Valley this seems like a good news week for Linux.
