Prison Architect has been updated once again, and it features a bunch of performance improvements. One thing I've been meaning to write about is the 3D mode that was a secret, but people finally found it.

It doesn't just add in fixes, it also adds in a few new features like the possibility of Hot water now too. I love all these little additions they keep putting in even after the main release.

If you want to check out the special 3D mode, you need to go into the Extras menu, and find the little hidden icon on the bottom left:

Which will make your game look like this:

I should note that the 3D mode is still experimental, but now it has been found and more people are using it I imagine it will see more improvements like the few in this patch.

This newly found mode will certainly make me take another look at the game, very cool.

See the patch notes here.

You can buy it directly, or from Steam. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Same, I bought the game but I have battled to get into it, the 3D mode could help that...

It's really refreshing to see devs care about their game even after release. I wish we'd see such dedication more often.

It's a really good game and a lot of fun to play. I already spent more time with it than I thought. They could add some more objects for the inmates and staff to interact with (sports equipment and more entertainment maybe), and do away with some quirks (if you expand your building it will tear down the walls you attached the expansion to for no good reason, and the rehab programs -really- should get their own time slots in the regime setup instead of using "work"). But I am pretty happy with it overall.
