Disclaimer: not our video, but as usual I like to highlight videos that show how performance on SteamOS/Linux compares with Windows.
Personal thoughts:
Pretty great performance there. It's really pleasing to see that Virtual Programming's eON wrapper technology mature to this state for some.
Sadly the game is quite unplayable for me, as the textures always revert down to Low, and most of the time Low is the only option that appears in the Texture option. It seems I am not alone with this issue either. I sent a message to VP about it, but no word on a fix yet.
The performance was also not too great in this recent version for me, but it does look like I was running it at higher settings than what the benchmark had.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Not just AAA titles, we need big players like Blizzard and EA to come aboard. I would especially like to see native Linux builds of Diablo 3, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm. I love what companies like Feral and Aspyr have done, and Valve, of course, but they can't do it all.

You can still use Ultra Textures if you set the "Overall Quality" to Ultra despite what you see in the settings menu. (it will still show "Standard or "Low" whatever)
If it still doesn't work (or just want to make sure) you can edit the "Player.Arma3Profile" file by hand and set: textureQuality=4.

Will buy if/when proper crossplatform support.

As a StarCraft 2 Map curator, I would love Blizzard games on Linux as I now only use Arch Linux, and maybe WINE once in a while.
Valve is just chipping away at the mountain, the avalanche is coming. I suspect that Steam Machines Winter 2016 and Spring 2017 will be power houses ready for the final console war.
There Steam Machines will enact the final solution. We will be victorious comrades.

Both EA and Activision are very greedy. Don't expect them to join Linux world any time soon.

I belive Both Blizzard and EA have stated they want to support Linux.
Blizzard even hade a linux beta client for wow vanilla.
I know Blizzard is own by activision now. The thing is with this big companys. The wont Linux to be a bigger group before they start porting games, I dont see this as greede, it costs money and they want to make money. I know blizzard are insanly ritch, but still they need to make money on the port. I also think BF devs where helping out with Vulkan, I can be wrong. And Dice also recommend running there games under AMD.
It will just take sometime before we see more AAA titles, its been very short time sence SteamOs was announced and the amount of port/games we get on linux. I know it sucks to hear this, but we got to be patience just a little bit more.
And this video, proves that game under linux can run as good as they run on windows. Even better at sometimes.

That's mighty impressive for a wrapper.

They're not human beings, despite what some U.S. laws might say. :) Therefore, they can't be greedy. They're emotionless corporations, and the driving factor behind corporations is profit. All it takes is an executive with some foresight willing to take a risk on something like Linux, which won't be immediately profitable. In the absence of someone like that, a corporation is going to stick with whatever makes it money.
As Zelox suggested above, it's going to take a lot of patience and hope before Linux will become a competitive gaming platform. Maybe it never will. We just have to wait and support companies that make an effort to sell games for it, but there's little point in having ill feelings toward those companies that choose not to, including Microsoft, because it's not personal at all.
