UNIGINE is a pretty advanced game engine that never really gets much attention from anyone it seems. They recently released UNIGINE 2.2 with major new features.
Main new features:
- New simulation-friendly water with geometric waves (Beaufort scale 0-12)
- Introduced tiled rendering optimizations
- Introduced area lights
- Planar reflections
- Improved shadows
- Unified C++/C#/UnigineScript API with full access to the engine features
- New C++/C# app logic system
- Improved Qt integration template
- Support for Visual Studio 2015
- Upgraded Oculus plugin to 0.8 Oculus SDK
- Improved accuracy of geodetic math
- Introduced GeodeticPivot object (experimental)
- Editable demos via SDK Browser
- SimLights add-on for airfield lights
- New Oil Rig demo
You can see an example video of the water here:

I think their main problem nowadays is their price, they just don't seem competitive to other engines, and they missed the big indie gaming boom where Unity and Unreal basically took over.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Aren't Unigine mostly aimed at visual real life simulations?

Yes they do! Still the engine is able to handle complex games as well. Oil Rush shows that! Unfortunately the game is more a showcase as well. Not that balanced and not too much fun in multiplayer - though I love the idea of it as well as the graphics!

Quoting: PeciskAren't Unigine mostly aimed at visual real life simulations? You're mixing up its capacity and its common usage.
Unigine is mostly used for simulations, but is aimed to be a 3D game engine as well. OpenSceneGraph is on the same boat, it is mostly used for visual simulation or scientific visualization, but it turns out to be a great 3D game engine with OpenMW, even better than a dedicated engine for games like Ogre.

was anyone else hoping it would scale higher? I was really wanting to see a raging storm there :P
It seems like a really nice engine, QT creator is a nice tool to be able to use with this.

Unigine it's the best linux game engine (as for graphics). Sadly it's not used in many projects (that I know).

Because it costs a lot to use it :) Like, unreachable for indies.

Oil Rush is a fun game - I bought it in one of the Humble Bundles. I wish they'd make more game using Unigine.

Nice water simulation. Cradle is the only other (indie) game I can think of that uses the Unigine engine.

http://unigine.com/en/get-unigine
Single seat 1500 USD
10 seats 10k USD
For full stack you have to even call them....although that's mostly for simulations.
