7 Days to Die recently released Alpha 14, and with it came broken graphics for Linux gamers. The developers are asking for logs to help them narrow down what's causing it. It sounds very familiar to me.

Yo, where's my textures?

The forum post now has 7 pages of logs and chatter on it, so hopefully they will figure it out soon.

I'm sure it's to do with the version of Unity they use, like what happened with a Parkitect and VoidExpanse recently. The bug was fixed in Unity, but if they have the latest version of Unity it could be their own code issue.

So, if 7 Days is still broken for you, head over here and file a report.

Would still be nice if they tested this before release though, don't you think?

They have also announced console versions, which will stretch them even further at such an early stage of development. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Well they have a console port coming soon.
And happily say on their website that this game is currently out for Windows/Mac/Linux/SteamOS

I'm still tapping my fingers waiting for a fix for this game.

And this is why I don't support early access.

If it's broken on all Linuxes, they could just install one and reproduce the problem, like devs are supposed to do. This way they'll have all the logs they want, without bothering users.

The problem is that it runs fine on Intel graphics cards (at 3fps of course) but the textures render. What they have been trying to find is a Nvidia or AMD card it works on too. The logs are not giving any clues.

Hi developers! Ill help you, stop using Unity engine, You are welcome!

Hi Linux traitors, please stop buying Unity based games, unity developers dont give a shit about Linux, and please dont buy any other bad port, if performance and quality is not same as on Windows, any you buy it, you are a traitor! Just send your money directly to M$ D3D developer team, it is much more easier.

They've found the issue - it wasn't related to Unity, but a custom shader relying on undefined behavior in the driver.
