I haven't had a chance to take a look myself, and the developers haven't sent over a key so it might be a while until I cover it personally.
About the game
Firewatch is a single-player first-person mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness.
The year is 1989. You are a man named Henry who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot, dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor Delilah is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio—your only contact with the world you've left behind. But when something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and into the forest, you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have.

I definitely recommend picking it up. It's a wonderful game, with a very interesting story. It's very much a case of the candle twice as bright burns half as long though, so don't expect a 100 hour epic.

Walking simulator mystery type game. That's one of my favourite genres. Doesn't offer much replayability, but first time through is a magic ride.

The whole "walking simulator" genre was a joke. And somehow people stuck with it. :D

I'd say it leaves room for a second playthrough, just to take a look at it through different eyes and do some of the optional stuff. I left mine installed because I'm planning to at some point. But yeah, I don't see anyone really getting more than two out of this to be honest, but it doesn't make it any less of an excellent game and well worth the price.

Awesome news. Even better is that I have heard from a user over on Phoronix's forums that it ran great on his 7850. Gives me hope for my R9 390.

I just got it on GOG. It's pretty GPU intensive. Unusual game though, and pretty well done.

One thing I found a bit strange about - it's causing me a major headache because of camera shaking. Switching off "head bob" setting makes it a bit better. Never really encountered it before in games.

Nice. Currently, I'm not that interested anymore in the game but I may pick it up at a later time. I still think it's a very beautiful game.
