About the game
Program little office workers to solve puzzles. Be a good employee! The machines are coming... for your job.
Human Resource Machine is a puzzle game for nerds. In each level, your boss gives you a job. Automate it by programming your little office worker. If you succeed, you'll be promoted up to the next level for another year of work in the vast office building. Congratulations!
Don't worry if you've never programmed before - programming is just puzzle solving. If you strip away all the 1's and 0's and scary squiggly brackets, programming is actually really simple, logical, beautiful, and something that anyone can understand and have fun with! Are you already an expert? There will be extra challenges for you.

This is great. I bought it instantly when I saw their announcement. Little Inferno was such a strange and wonderful game.
Thoughts: This is much more challenging than any of their other games. If you don't have any programming experience, it could be frustrating. I saw it compared to programming in assembly language, where you have a limited number of commands available.
Pros:
+ Great aesthetic, I love the quirky dark humour.
+ Good puzzles. They feel very satisfying when you complete them.
+ Ran 100% perfectly on Kubuntu 14.04. Great port!
Cons (minor):
- May be difficult for many to finish. I am still struggling to complete some optional "optimization" challenges.
- Other than difficult, a few optional challenges feel a bit like a chore (loop unrolling).
- There is a bulk copy-paste of a whole solution, but you can't copy part of a program back to itself. In longer puzzles, this can be annoying (but not game-breaking).
Verdict:
I am biased, so I personally will buy anything made by Tomorrow Corp. For everyone else, it depends on your interest in programming-type puzzles...

In case someone missed it, HRM is currently available for an unbeatable price (as in pay what you want) in the Humble Eye Candy Bundle. And unless you're allergic to fun and/or puzzles, you need to buy this game. I spent a big chunk of my working hours today playing this programming puzzler instead of actually programming.
