Show us your gaming desk setup, here's ours

By -
Today I thought it would be fun to show you what myself and Samsai have setup for our desks and gaming setups, and see what yours are too.

Myself
Here is my little bit of heaven, what I regularly use for all GOL work and livestreaming
image
Proudly still using my Linux Voice mug.

The corner when my desk sits is also quite dark, I really do need to look into a lamp as it's hurting my eyes more and more.

I'm starting to feel like my desk just isn't big enough. The pull-out tray for my keyboard and mouse certainly isn't, and I don't want them on the top of the desk as it's too high and would take up too much room. Looks like in a few months I will need to look into my desk situation again. This desk also isn't big enough to host my tower unit, as it's rather large.

Then there's also my Steam Machine situation
image
I do need a smaller case for my Steam Machine, but it also hosts other systems so it has a number of hard drives in it, plus the size of the Nvidia 970 inside has been a problem.

Samsai
Here is the setup Samsai uses for his weekly GOL livestream, articles and GOL Cast videos. The Coca Cola glass is an integral part of the setup.

Sobkas
Sobkas who usually does our Wine posts, some excellent Penguin graphics for us and more.

The number of single monitor setups is surprising. I always just assumed most people had dual monitors these days, which then always confused me why games were so bad at handling dual monitors.

I'm mainly developing games in that setup but also play games with keyboard/mouse in that configuration as well (e.g. DotA2).

All games which work nicely with the Steam Controller, I usually play on my TV from the couch, either via SteamLink or direct HDMI (sorry no pic but would just be a simple big TV).

P.S. Note the notebook brand =)

Here's mine, not the best lighting for taking pictures right now, but whatever.

The desk is rather small but comfortable.

The TV is just to the right of the PC, in front of my sofa (where else...). It's connected to the PC as a third monitor.

The 'halo' around the screen is ardulight, an arduino ambilight clone. I usually only use it for movies and such, but it can also be used for games no problem (ardulight; I use the TV for games all the time).

By the way, did you know I like Lego and Kerbals? ;-)

I grew up with parents that had hoarding tendencies so I in fact did not clean up just for a picture, this space is always immaculate (I did move the tall chair, though).

I have a soft spot for super tiny computers. Although I have since moved to a bigger tower to fit a graphics card. No picture of that yet.

My simple gaming/general purpose setup. My hotas flightstick is in the bottom shelf that you can't see in the picture and my wheel and pedals are in the closet. My Wii U is also stashed in the closet because... well, because it's a Wii U.

My 10-keyless Cherry MX Brown mechanical keyboard sporting luscious Tux keys instead of ugly Win keys. Can't see it very clearly because I'm a terrible photographer. :P

Wow, some interesting setups here guys.

@pete910, that's a fantastic desk. Really would love to have my PC inside it like that, where did you get it? Or did you make it? Hard to tell if it's a custom thing.

Machine neatly hidden under the desk and monitors on the wall -- just the way I like it.
Could be more monitors though.
And more RAM.
And while we are on it, I'd like to upgrade my whole system please :D

I don't have a desk. My "setup" is wherever I plunk my laptop. Often its on the island in our kitchen. Or my lap on the couch. Or the table, Or, well, you get the idea...
