Just a heads up here, SteamOS brewmaster 2.70 is now considered stable and is ready to be updated on your machines.

Not exactly an exciting release, as it mainly brings in the changes from the previous beta.

It has the usual security updates, updated from Debian, and their own fixes like this one:
Quotesteamos-compositor - Prefer HDMI/DP over other types of displays.

Which is to help with pulseaudio issues.

In Steam forums, somone complained about the download speed issue many people are still having (with the know workarounds) and asked if SteamOS has got the same problem. Anybody knows that?
