Hold onto your pants, as you're in for a wild ride! Tomb Raider is officially launching on Linux & SteamOS today.

A big fan of the game myself, but more on that from us later at the release.

You can visit the Feral mini-site for more information right now.

I will hopefully be livestreaming it later this evening. Likely around 8-9PM UTC, so keep an eye out penguin gamers.

@Eike @GBee
I'd try debian/unstable or even unstable+experimental. It works like a charm with free drivers, proprietary drivers can be painful sometimes (AMD ones in particular, not sure about NVidia, tbh).

Quoting: IlyaI somewhat miss the times when it was possible to play all the games on Linux...
Playing all games is very much possible (assuming you have enough bucks). Playing all to completion has become very much impossible, esp. when you go for 100% achievements!
You need to learn to delegate. Hire a few assistants to play for you, from a third world country maybe to keep the wages reasonable. I'm sure it's well worth the fame and fortune the 100% Linux completion rate would bestow on your glorious personage.

If you are on Ubuntu 14.04+, getting the Nvidia 364 series is easy: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

Quoting: GBeeProprietary drivers are not the work of Satan, and if you were really concerned about it you'd not be able to drive a modern car, watch TV or make a phone call because all these devices, even those based on linux, use binary drivers and firmware.

If that fails to change your mind, consider the fact that you're refusing to use a closed source driver to play a closed source game - that doesn't make a jot of sense does it now?

And you're refusing to use a closed source operating system to play closed source games - that doesn't make a lot of sense so just use Windows ;)

Almost 1 year ago in my case - and it's sitting at 48.2GiB left. And that's only Steam games, root and home are on separate SSDs. :(

I have that PPA, and the privative version of the 364 series is not in my list, only the open source version.
