Two Worlds: Epic Edition continues Topware Interactive's push into Linux with their older titles. It is now available in beta form, and it uses Wine.
Writing on their Steam forum the developer said:

I think it's really great they are doing this for older titles. Wine is a powerful bit of software and extremely useful when used correctly. Not every developer has the resources to port older titles, especially when it won't make much money. I definitely applaud what they are doing with older titles.
About the game (Official)

At least when that information is available or he has access to the game.
Imho Winelib ports are actually not really a bad thing (for old games at least) while just packaging the
Windows binary is quite *meh*.

You can run thewinecfg
command this way (you need to install Wine 1.8), from a terminal:
WINEPREFIX="/yourSteamLibraryPath/steamapps/common/Two Worlds - Epic Edition/Wine/prefix/.config/" winecfg

Ahhhh, I can confirm that Steam Controller works (in wine I can't use it) like keyboard+mouse

I wasn't that excited, tbh.
I got it cheap a year or two ago, ran it in wine, and my thoughts amounted to "this feels kinda janky, and why is there a first-person mode when combat always switches to third? ...ok, now I guess I went to the wrong area, and now I'm stuck in a death loop. Great."

I dunno, but it performs REALLY BAD on my end.
Less than 20 FPS, constantly.

If its optimized and runs seamlessly then I don't mind them using Wine, provided it shows up as a buy-able item under Linux Steam in the end. Then credit goes to Linux platform which needs less stat culling when it comes to active gaming data.

Using CSMT update performance improve so much as others said
However recording at 48fps needs around 17 a 20% of cpu on practical terms this represent 8 and 10 fps performance loss in my machine depending game
