Oh boy, not long after the release of Tomb Raider and Feral Interactive have started teasing a new port again.

In the "Soon" section of their port radar is this new teaser:

Begin the guessing game again folks, you're way smarter than I am at this detective work!

It's in the "Soon" section, so it could be a few months away yet. They still have two Linux/Mac titles in the "Very Soon" section they haven't yet confirmed the name of, so it's quite exciting.

Their last port does have some performance issues, so hopefully they aren't being overworked and moving to rush out ports. I have been greatly enjoying Tomb Raider myself even with the big FPS drops, but a tasty performance patch would be rather welcome. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: VlozThat's sounds ugly, but I personally prefer a lot of rushed ports with bad perf than a few optimized ones.
I mean, if your current pc isn't strong enough to play TR, at least your next pc will. I dont think that comparing windows/linux framerate is the priority right now when i see the tons of games i m awaiting on linux.

-Personally- I totally agree with you. I couldn't care less if a game only runs with 50 FPS in Linux but would run with 100 FPS in Windows. What matters to me is that it runs in Linux at all.

But this is not how a mainstream gamer thinks. These people fork out hundreds of dollars for graphics cards more expensive than the rest of their PCs just to make a game run with 110 FPS rather than 100, pointless as it might be. You won't be able to convince them to switch to Linux as long as they get even minimal better performance in Windows. But if we want to see more AAA games on Linux and more developers supporting it, getting more attractive for mainstream gamers is what needs to be done.

I spent $800 this year on graphics cards (Two GTX 970s for two Arch Gaming PCs) -- So I could get 110-300 FPS in games? Nope. So that I wouldn't have to dual boot windows and could have extra juice to spare when the ports had poorly optimized performance.

To me the cost of a better GPU was the tax price to get away from windows. Next year I hope to jump and grab 2x AMD Zen CPUs and 2x R9 390 GPUs once the Radeon Open Source Driver blossoms.

At the current rate of code improvements on AMDGPU I expect AMD will be the best choice next year, I can't wait :)
Spacious Skies... Spacious Sky... No Man's Sky... it's a pretty spacious game right? ;)
The bongo is just a red herring. :P
If NMS came to Linux I'd be in heaven. :D

... seriously though, no chance this is NMS.

I'm hoping No Man's Sky will be an in-house port so we don't get that performance hit from Feral. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't unless the hype has gone to their heads and they think they're too good for us now. :)

Quoting: rustybroomhandleHmmm, candidates:
- Homefront: The Revolution (America, patriotism, et al)
As much as I like Feral getting work, and I do, I'm hoping Homefront: Revolution will be ported by Dambuster themselves.

They are porting it themselves, so it is not that.

Yeah, f*ck people with mid and low range GPUs *sarcasm*

Well now we know Dawn of War 3 is being worked on, I'm 100% certain that's what Feral are going to be porting & hopefully the port will be day one & not years later.

Only a shallow, literalist approach could interpret that image as that of a 'djembe'.

Rather, the image is meant to resemble a basketball hoop.

So it's NBA 2K16 -- you heard it here.

Actually the rounded string shape could represent a half a Bra, so Stripper Simulator 2000 is on the way at long last. :P :D
