Oh boy, not long after the release of Tomb Raider and Feral Interactive have started teasing a new port again.
In the "Soon" section of their port radar is this new teaser:
Begin the guessing game again folks, you're way smarter than I am at this detective work!
It's in the "Soon" section, so it could be a few months away yet. They still have two Linux/Mac titles in the "Very Soon" section they haven't yet confirmed the name of, so it's quite exciting.
Their last port does have some performance issues, so hopefully they aren't being overworked and moving to rush out ports. I have been greatly enjoying Tomb Raider myself even with the big FPS drops, but a tasty performance patch would be rather welcome.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: tkoniczFolks, this one is easy. These are war drums, obviously.
Haha, actually Wikipedia says something quite the opposite concerning this drum.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djembe
Quoting: wikipediaAccording to the Bambara people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose. In the Bambara language, "djé" is the verb for "gather" and "bé" translates as "peace."
So it has more to do with "Gathering" or perhaps "Rallying" together in a peaceful manner.

I've read that Dirt Rally uses the same engine as Grid Autosport.
Since Feral already ported Grid, Dirt seems possible.
IMO Linux needs at least one more proper racing game like Dirt Rally considering Autosport being the only one right now.

Quoting: liamdaweYou are quick to respond, you do support your products and you're supporting a tiny platform. Hell, you're even here on GOL to calm peoples fears down.
Great stuff.
Great stuff indeed. And now back to playing Tomb Raider, thanks Feral! :)

Quoting: Debianeerdrat.. spacious skies, huh.. I wish that meant Elite: Dangerous (or No Man's Sky).. but idk how the drum would fit with it.
David Braben was banging the drum quite hard during the kickstarter on how he wanted to see Elite on as many platforms as possible..

Tomb Raider has been not a very good port for me. First game that I cannot enjoy duo to low framerates on my linux machine and I have a 980ti. I hope they fix their port with a patch.

F1 2015 is coming to Linux, which I'm pretty keen for (although I must say I prefer F1 2013 more, even though it's an old title) but I'm aware that the F1 games are very technical racing games which cater for a very niche market and isn't to everyone's taste. Dirt Rally would be a great addition to the Linux racing world.
