Update: And now the news post has gone.

Not sure how we missed this, but Feral Interactive have officially confirmed F1 2015 is coming to Linux.

It was apparently posted just after the Tomb Raider system requirements were revealed going by their news dates, but it's possibly it was only recently made visible as it states the post was updated on the 5th of May.

We pretty much already knew this, but it's great to see official confirmation.

I've always been a fan of racing games, and F1 2015 is the last title I played(on Windows) and I loved it. I've always wanted this one title on my Linux machine. It'd be nice of Feral to port it. Although, the removal of news doesn't builds up much confidence... :(

Considering how it appeared in the news list like it was an old news item in-between Tomb Raider info I would imagine the news posting was an accident. Hopefully they will be able to let us know either way soon.

F1 2015 Linux

As you can see from SteamDB, F1 2015 Linux is there and has Feral slapped all over it :D

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionShout out to the guys that correctly guessed in the other thread. Do they win a foot massage or something?

I think the person who noticed it was playable on Linux during the free weekend wins.

On a related note, there was very little wrong with it then, so hopefully it's not much longer till the real release.

I think there was a link to the SteamDB depot referencing a Linux build for F1 2015 before the leaked free weekend, but I can't find the article at the moment. Either way, Feral have bumped the F1 2015 tease up to "very soon!" on their Feral Radar

Thanks for bringing our attention to this, I'm afraid the news post was pushed live by accident! Stay tuned, racing fans.

The most plausible theory right now about the latest item to appear on the radar is that it's Dirt Rally :) Makes sense since they've already done the heavy lifting of porting the rendering engine.

Quoting: TheRiddickFeral should port Skyrim then/or Fallout4... just saying.

Is it Feral who choose what to port, or the development/publisher house approaching Feral?

Must be the publisher! How should they get the source code otherwise? Also they wouldn't have any rights for distribution then.

Or it's Feral who reaches out to the publisher to make a deal in which Feral buys the distribution rights for OSX and Linux. Consider that Feral sells their ports on their own shop, people who simply create ports don't do that. And if you go to Sega's webshop and select LINUX as platform you cannot find Alien: Isolation.
