I've played more than I care to admit of the game already, and I think it's truly shaping up to be something special.
I absolutely adore being able to see the individual park goers sitting on the rides, I love the simulation inside the game itself to that degree.
It's still early days for the game yet, as it doesn't have too much of the business side to it done. It's very much a sandbox right now with you starting off with a silly amount of funds to do with as you see fit.
Major changes
- added Giga Coaster
- added Monorail
- added Steam Workshop support
- added synchronizing attraction stations
- added compressed .park savegame format for up to ~85% smaller savegames
- added ride music volume slider
- added spawning supports if terraforming below ground-level tracks
- added option for closing the park only for new guests
- added German translation
- changed attraction “maximum waiting time between new guests” setting to overall minimum/maximum waiting times
- improved people loading speed by ~70%
- improved people animation performance by ~40%
- reduced people RAM usage by ~95%
- improved guest queueing behaviour
- Lots of fixes

Apart from significantly better graphics what can this do for me that OpenRCT2 can't? Serious question cause I do have a fondness for these sorts of games and would definitely be willing to buy a new one if it gave me a good reason to.

A better interface, supported by the developers, doesn't require a Windows game. To name but a few.
