Friday has once again arrived and, as usual, that means the Friday Livestream is here too! Make sure to get your Twitch account set up and start lurking the channel for we will be gaming on Linux and talking about all kinds of things on the livestream at 5 PM UTC!

Livestream here: http://www.twitch.tv/gamingonlinux

You have likely seen a lot of Stellaris already both from us and possibly from other sources (obligatory shoutout to quill18) but I figured I'd show my handiwork on the field of galactic exploration and exploitation. I am also celebrating the non-release of the false Doom by playing more Project Brutality. We also have a smaller game by the name of Rocket Fist which I will quickly check out, as I do have a key for it.

Hopefully you have a nice evening/morning/afternoon with the livestream and may your weekend be filled with games. I imagine lots of you will be expanding your own Stellaris empires this weekend. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm a Linux gamer from Finland. I like reading, long walks on the beach, dying repeatedly in roguelikes and ripping and tearing in FPS games. I also sometimes write code and sometimes that includes hobbyist game development.

Livestreamer is really nice but it's a little annoying that I still have to use the browser for the chat...

...Not that I would miss twitch chat most of the time but for smaller channels are quite nice.

Hey Liam, are you going to add manual CPU and GPU model info in the PC info?
I'd like that and I think others will too.

I've setup twitch oauth key with irssi so I can use twitch chat in my irc client.

I use Livestreamer and chatty

Livestreamer opens VLC and automatically opens chatty and enters to the channel that streams so easy to use :P

I can have multiple VLC and multiple Chatty's

You can use GNOME Twitch, it's full Twitch client for Linux.

If you can live with no chat you can use their HTML5 player
twitch html5 player

if you want to use the html5 player for another channel just change the channel name in the URL ;)
