Do you love twin stick shooters with good soundtracks? How about rescuing weird space creatures? Well Dr. Spacezoo might be what you need.

Disclosure: Key provided by developer.

You're tasked with investigating various Space Zoos where a corrupt AI is trying to kill everything, oh no! Won't someone think of the poor Space Cats?

The game is absolutely nuts! The initial weapon you're given is a massive laser beam that's as bright as staring at the sun, it's so bright you can't see enemy bullets flying through it, so "spray and pray" is not a good idea.

This could be a great game for Steam Machine players, as it has full controller support and local co-op for up to 4 people. It's just as chaotic and fun by yourself though, more players are simply an option.

It's currently in Early Access as the story content isn't yet finished, so I am looking forward to that.

I actually played a fair bit of the game before it came to Steam and I am quite a big fan of it. I tested it out quickly today to make sure nothing broke in the new release, but all is fine. It detects the correct monitor (since I have two) and gives me a correct resolution so it's already better than a lot of recent games at handling multiple monitors.

About the game (Steam)
Dr. Spacezoo is a chaotic twin-stick precision shoot-em-up packed full of gibs and grease for 1-4 players. Blast through procedurally generated Space Zoos to rescue exotic space animals in a chaotic bullet-hell shoot-em-up. Or reduce them to gibs. Your call, monster.

You can grab it on Steam or Itch.io. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
