It's Sunday, I'm extremely tired after a long day and I've been coding away at the new PC Specifications feature for user profiles so I don't really have time to post up news articles tonight (it's getting late). So I ask you: What are you playing, and what do you think?

I've been playing Stellaris, and you will know what I think about it tomorrow! I've already sunk 5.3 hours into it according to Steam, blimey!

Apart from that I have been enjoying Tomb Raider up to the last fire-fight I was in where sadly the framerate went really bad and it became a struggle. I don't really want to play any more right now until they put out some form of performance patch as that last bit I did sadly soured it for me.

As for random news, we are aware the new Doom has been shown off running on Vulkan, I'm not going to give it a news article since it's not coming to Linux and really doesn't mean anything for us directly (you can stop sending it in now :P) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I played Hyper Light Drifter today and was playing CS:GO, RONIN & NOT A HERO the last week. I should also begin to play Tomb Raider & Inifinifactory... :D

I feel the same way about Tomb Raider. That game is on hold for me until some patches come out. Until then, I'll be tolerating occasional graphical bugs in ARK.

Tomb Raider and Divinity Original Sin co-op with my brother.

Tomb Raider is great, the first one I have really played actually (thanks Feral! :D ) Just hope they fix the performance a little.
Divinity OS is the first Divinity game I played too :P Yeah, we're stuck... but stuck further in the game than if I were to play by myself.

Beat Hazard, Pillars of Eternity and Bioshock Inifnite at the moment. Beat hazard is an excellent game that you can pick up and put down easily. Nice tool to help wind down with.

Pillars of Eternity has been fun, interesting and challenging, definitely takes me back to playing the Baldur's Gate series. Has taken me a while to refresh myself on the mechanics!

Bioshock Infinite well picked it up a while ago on sale and have only got around to playing it now, not too sure about it yet.

After watching your streams I very much want Stellaris, It's an internal struggle at the moment!

mainly Hearthstone since Faeria has been having graphical issues again. I finally was able to grab Dungeons 2 on sale to check it out. seems fun but nothing really spectacular. I'm looking forward to grabbing Stellaris myself soonish. that looks really promising.
Just bought Warhammer quest deluxe on humble bundle store for $2.99 and vertiginous golf for $4.99. going to give them a go here soon.
Really looking forward to the 1.0 release of Starbound, following their dev blog they have been adding in so much content for this major release that it's mind boggling.

Planet Explorers is finally shaping up to a more stable build now once again since their update to Unity 5. they are creeping closer to a 1.0 build, although very slowly.

Total War: Warhammer is one game I want to buy as soon as it's released for Linux. very much looking forward to this one.

also can't wait for Stardew Valley to be released for Linux.

I've been playing The Detail. It's an episodic point & click crime drama. The final episode came out a week and a half or so ago, so I scooped up the game then (I don't buy episodic games until all episodes are out). It's a really dark and gritty game and I'm liking it so far. I'm approximately halfway through episode 2 (of 3).

I've also been playing Saints Row 2 with the GotR Mod. The occasional stutter can be annoying and the game randomly CTDs far too often for my liking, but I'm willing to put up with it because it's such a great game, plus there's no point in waiting for a patch since the Windows port this is based on is garbage to begin with and will never be fixed properly.

Finished up Saints Row 2 a week or two ago (which was fun despite the pervasive performance/stuttering issues which have already been mentioned by other folks here), and have been digging into Saints Row 3. Was a nice breath of fresh air after the SR2 performance problems - driving is actually fun again!

I'd started on Alien:Isolation the night before the SR2+SR3 ports dropped and, alas, I have yet to get back to it. Once I finish up with SR3 I'll probably dive back in there.
Shadowrun Hong Kong, mostly. Been trying a couple different character types to experiment with cyberware and whatnot.

I "played" Zezenia in training ... and ported some of my code to make advantage of the C++11 threading features for a project I wish to revive...

Hyper Light Drifter, Dust: An Elysian Tale, Divinity: Original Sin, Enter the Gungeon, and of course CS:GO... All of which will be ignored tomorrow XD.

Dota 2 and Adventure Capitalist most of the time, SR3 70% completed, SRGoTH hasn't been played yet, couple hours of Postal 2. Enjoyed them all, but I've been a Dota player since Dota 1 days so it's just hard to find time for other games although I've a lot of them in my library because I only have 3 hours a week to play games. You guys are lucky to have time :)
Corben 8 May 2016
Just completed the Space Event in Adventure Capitalist and going for Mega Bucks now. As I could boost all planets with Mega Boosts already, I want to get enough Bucks to increase the platinum multiplier. Still haven't finished moon or earth yet.

I recently completed Saints Row IV. This game was way more fun than I expected. Good performance, hilarious story, great setting... a lot of fun. Didn't expect the game to be so rich in variety.

As the Stasis Linux beta is out, I played this point-and-click horror sci-fi adventure. Oh dear ;) Great detailed graphics. The puzzles are sometimes really tricky, and later in the game there is a situation... can't tell more about it. It was horrible. In this case the game does a great job ;) The gameplay performance is great, I only had one crash and got stuck twice. The second getting stuck unfortunately is shortly before the final, so there is no possibility to save after the situation and continue with a save from somewhere else. The Brotherhood devs provided me a save after the first stuck, so I could continue.
And there is one issue with the dialogs, which are mostly skipped. I guess most of the story is told via dialogs, but I could follow the story also through the PDA datalogs and typically for a point-and-click adventure, you can get further with trial and error ;)
A great game, especially if you like movies like Event Horizon and Pandorum.

Recently I started Tomb Raider. With this game I have mixed feelings. Performance is good on my machine, the graphics looks very nice. But the camera handling is driving me crazy. It's shaking more or less all the time, sometimes it's moved without me wanting to look in that direction, I want to have full control over the view with the mouse.
Then what happens to Lara is a bit ridiculous... she couldn't move like this with all her injuries. And they've overdone it with the quick-time-events... if there are three in a row and you fail at the third, you have to start at the first again. This gets quite annoying.
But as the game got quite good reviews and Feral did a good job, I'm going to continue ;)

Thanks for posting that bit about Doom on Vulkan. I had no idea. I think it is very much relevant for us, as Vulkan could be the bridge that brings us more developers. Also, I'd kill to play Doom, but of course, no tux, no bucks.
As for what I've been wasting my time on: Shadow Warrior for the third time. My ongoing struggle in Assault Android Cactus. And I'm still trying to finish Half Life 2: Episode 2. Damn Striders.

I've been playin chivalry MW in black knight mod.
I think BK should be the vanilla game. Also it's one of the last high skilled game out there.

Looking forward to play Mirage from the same studio aka torn banner. And play it on GNU/Linux of course !
I finally played the Talos Principle. It started slowly and I was a bit sceptical at first, but it eventually showed why it got so many rave reviews. Very very clever. It has been compared to Portal, but it has a unique way of looking at things. Puzzles can be challenging but always fair.

I think the guy who made the Swapper had a hand in the dialogue, which shows in the mind-bending storyline. It is on sale... anyone who likes puzzle games should own it.

Runs flawlessly on linux.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein (native) and Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines which was recently released on GOG (Wine). Both are classics.

I'm a recent convert to Linux. I've installed it periodically for over a decade always going back to windows for one reason or another. The last reason was games. A couple months ago I realize that virtually every single game that I have played in the last two years is now on Linux and virtually everything coming out that I want to play is also on Linux. It's like I'm somehow the target linux gamer. So I've made the final jump and sticking with it this go around. So far it's been great.

Anyhow...

Stellaris - Up Next
Talos Principle
XCOM2
Civilization Beyond Earth
Shadowrun Hong Kong
Shadownrun Dragonfall
Kerbal Space Program. Lots and lots of Kerbal Space program
Pillars Of Eternity
Divinity Original Sin
XCOM Enemy Unknown/Within
Portal 2
Civ5 and Expansions

And looking forward to:
Total War - Warhammer
New Master Of Orion
Civ Beyond Earth Expansion
Total War - Attila
Witcher 3
Talos Principle Gehenna
