Itch do some wonderful things and the brand new itch.io refinery is a really great way to do Early Access correctly.
They have some rather unique features aimed at helping developers get good feedback, rather than making Early Access a race to sell as many copies as possible.
Features like limited keys, exclusive content, command-line tools and delta patches, selling physical goods and restricting community access to only people who buy it.
I really like what I am hearing, and it seems games are already planning to use it.
Find out more information on the itch.io blog post.
They have also released an update to their widget that developers can embed on their websites, developers can now customize the style of the widget to match their branding. See the blog post on that here.
Fantastic stuff from itch.io as usual. Have many of you been using their store? If not, what's stopping you?
