While I haven't completed The Talos Principle, I have played it and I do think it's a very well presented puzzle game. It seems it has been a hit, so The Talos Principle 2 has now been confirmed.

Confirmation comes from twitter at a talk Croteam just did (this was retweeted by Croteam themselves):

Details are obviously extremely light right now, but it's pretty fun news for the many fans of Talos.

Since Talos now uses Vulkan, it's likely they will support Vulkan with Talos 2 now that their game engine supports it. That's one reason I am excited to see more of it.

Great news, haven't finished the 1st one either but it's one of my all time favourite games ever.
And if they get a great running Vulkan version right from the start it will be Christmas and Easter on the same day.

I finished the first, and was quite enamoured with the experience ^^ I do worry, as I do with all sequels, how they'll improve upon the predecessor, but I guess we'll see :B

Nice, I've allmost finished the first one (and haven't touched it since then, the game is really captivating)
Hopefully the next one will be as good as the first.

By the way, is there any news about Serious Sam First/Second Encounter HD Linux ports? Not that I don't like Talos, but I want my Serious Sam fix :D

I played the Talos Principle demo, and it was like a really boring version of Portal.

The Talos Principle in the end isn't really like Portal at all, even if it seems that way at first.

I really hope it doesn't end up being 'more of the same' -- considering that the chief weakness of the first game was that the latter half of the puzzles felt exactly like that.

Awesome news! The Talos Principle is my favourite game of all time, not so much because of the puzzles, but because of the philosophy and the atmosphere. The first time I played it was an incredible experience.

This is the only time where I'd actually consider preordering a game.

This is right. I was a bit sceptical at first as I was over-saturated with first-person puzzle games. However, Talos got very good after a short time. The puzzles and locations were superb.

The story and dialogue could be polarizing, but I found it interesting enough. Some of the conversation choices seemed a bit forced, but it didn't really bother me much.

The puzzles, though, stand proudly as some of the best...
