The Wine team released today another development release of their software. Version 1.9.11 has many small changes including 21 bugfixes.

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • Better support for long URLs in WinInet.
  • Various Direct3D 11 improvements.
  • Down-mixing support in DirectSound.
  • Some cosmetic improvements in desktop mode.
  • Various bug fixes.

If it's not needed for most games, then it's better to leave it as an optional fix.

In this wine version appears some things like wine icon in wine start button on desktop mode and more work in buffer and DX11 for courtesy jozef kucia and others

In other issues sayonara umihara kawase now shows character and scenary, in before wine versions only ears sound with black screen

However now main problem stay in fonts

Other issue stay in steam fps overlay begins work in DX11 (appears in sayonara umihara kawase and tested in ori and the blind forest DX11 too)

Other titles begins work case cryostasis and others as driver parallel lines back to work

No, really, it is. The issue only happens with the NVIDIA driver and only in very few games. Leaving it on also has a negative impact on the framerate of all other games and Direct3D programs that don't have the issue, so it should definitely not be on by default. If you want more information about it, the thread concerning the issue has the full story, including tests :)

EDIT: Also, if anyone here is using Vineyard, I just added support for the flag (CSMT and DXVA2-VAAPI support were also recently added), so, yeah, that's easier now :)
