I was wondering if GOG would ever do something like this and it's really cool to see them finally dip their toes in it. For a limited time using GOG Connect a few Steam games can be redeemed on GOG for fully DRM free builds.

There are 12 Steam games that support Linux in the list right now (I don't know why GOG forces upper case for names):
- BIT.TRIP RUNNER
- BRAID
- BREACH & CLEAR
- BREACH & CLEAR: DEADLINE
- BROKEN SWORD: DIRECTOR'S CUT
- FTL: ADVANCED EDITION
- PROJECT ZOMBOID
- SHADOWRUN RETURNS
- TO THE MOON
- TRINE ENCHANTED EDITION
- VVVVVV
- XENONAUTS

Head over to connect.gog.com to check out the full list.

While GOG Connect will stick around, the games available will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers.

They also put a bunch of games on sale, check them out on our Sales Page. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Strange, I own VVVVVV, TO THE MOON, and BIT.TRIP RUNNER on Steam, but GOG says "NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND". Maybe it's region based or something?
darkszluf Jun 1, 2016
well i gave it a shot too, i own some titles but they're listed as not eligible, maybe it doesn't accept external key activated games?

after a few tries it worked!

I have a few games in Steam that I can see them in the list, but the page shows me this message:

"NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND"
gnaag Jun 1, 2016
Same for me. A have several of the supported games, but it says not eligible for all of them.
Liam Dawe Jun 1, 2016
They have been having a few technical issues at rollout. May be worth trying again tomorrow as it's going to be pretty popular today. Connecting my account took forever.

It is dependent on Steam's API as well, so if Steam is having issues it will also affect it. Mine also found zero eligible games, so I don't think it's quite right, or it's stupidly region locked.

ooh I miss read that :(.
Well I only got FTL on steam, but I cant redeem that one.

Same here. "No eligible games found". Probably just a bug that will get fixed later.
ziabice Jun 1, 2016
I have nearly all games listed as eligible, but none gets connected. I bet Gabe said "NO, NO, NO!" :D

My games aren't detected either. I wonder if this doesn't work for steam keys bought in humble bundles?
Zelox Jun 1, 2016
I get "OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG.
Please try again."

Maybe its high traffic, like someone said before.
It will probably work later today.

EDIT: If you have your steam account set to private, this can cause truble.
I have my account on private, and change to public could help detect your games.

Post from the devs.

If you have issues getting your games detected, disable AdBlock, it seems to break the process.

"WE COULDN'T REACH THE STEAM SERVICE RIGHT NOW."

Looks like they still need to iron out the process. Despite the issues, it's great that GOG are doing this because there are a bunch of folks who only discovered GOG after having built up a Steam library.

^Ditto :Y

And I'm glad GOG are aiding me in backing up my games after I got too lazy and complacent to check if Humble had a copy of every game that caught my eye on the Steam front o3o

I already have most of my games on both Steam ánd GOG (future-proofing FTW).

Still, nice to see GOG being so proactive in protecting the Steam userbase.

What would be awesome is the opposite side. We can not say GOG is very Linux friendly. We are still waiting for Galaxy, many games that have a linux version are missing the binaries on GOG (i would have loved to buy AoW 3 on GOG but ... no tux there), updates are less frequent, etc. And once unpon a time they told something about cross-play but they are being silent about it. Furthermore what is the point of buying a multiplayer game on GOG if you can not play with the rest of the world? GOG surely have a lot of potential but as of today, linux and multi-player users on GOG are second-zone citizens.
