Paradox are usually pretty good with sending us along a key and I have requested one, but in all fairness I only did the request today so it may be days before I can write it up in any detail. I imagine one of our other editors will also be looking into it, so there may be a decent post up on it regardless.
It's really quite fantastic that Paradox supports Linux so well now with day-1 releases.
About the game (Official)
Victory is at your fingertips! Your ability to lead your nation is your supreme weapon, the strategy game Hearts of Iron IV lets you take command of any nation in World War II; the most engaging conflict in world history.
From the heart of the battlefield to the command center, you will guide your nation to glory and wage war, negotiate or invade. You hold the power to tip the very balance of WWII.
It is time to show your ability as the greatest military leader in the world. Will you relive or change history? Will you change the fate of the world by achieving victory at all costs?
You can grab it on Games Republic to support us, or on Steam.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:

Just bought the game (obviously)! :D
Can it really be played well with a controller?

Paradox, some of the best developers/publishers in the gaming industry! And not only for Linux, they are truly great! Top-quality products with constant improvement and updates! Also they made at least some of their games very, VERY, moddable (look at CK2 - it can be medieval history, game of thrones, elder scrolls, it can be whatever!). AFAIK all their games are very well made, moddable and support Linux... maybe except for some of the older titles. CK1 for example doesn't but also I don't know anyone out there who plays that game and not the second installment. I've also got HOI3 which doesn't support Linux as well but this new one, IV does, and I plan on getting it eventually. I also plan on getting Stellaris which I'm very excited for. I haven't played a good space strategy game since GalCiv2 and unfortunately GC3 doesn't support Linux :(
I still haven't gotten around actually playing HOI3 because it looked overwhelmingly hard to play and learn. But Ck2 also looked really intimidating but eventually got the hang of it after a few tries and now I love it and I think it's one of the best games I've played. I'm sure HOI4 will be one of my favs too, since I'm really into WW2 history and video games.

I have to be honest, I've had too much bad experience with Paradox lately and haven't had much interest in getting more games from them, BUT I actually find this one pretty interesting.
What I'd like to know is, is the game complete and fun to play on release? Or will it need DLC to become a good game? If the latter, I won't get it as Paradox games become notoriously expense in DLC and I have no wish to support that. If however HoI4 is a great game now, I might consider getting it.
On the other hand, I see they already have unit skin DLC for preorders, which kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
