I completely missed the fact that The Hive added Linux support some time ago. It's a pretty good looking RTS game that feels a bit like playing the Zerg in Starcraft.
A GOL user named Cpukiller actually sent an article into us in 2014 about it coming to Linux and it looks it did shortly after, but we totally missed it. If it wasn't for this video about it on Linux, I would probably have continued to miss out (so credit to both people there).
I've tested it out for a while and it seems like a pretty solid start for what could become a really good RTS game. It has a story, voice over, decent enough graphics and interesting gameplay. It is still in the early stages though, with it being Early Access so it's not finished.
One thing to note, is that the game is saved after you finish each mission. There is no chance to save during a game. The developer said they would prefer people not use saved games like they do in games like XCOM. Not sure I agree there, but okay.
They mentioned they plan to release one big update every month, so it's pleasing to see it continue to progress.
Check it out and tell me what you think.

Oh well, the game looks VERY promising. To be honest it really does look like a SC II clone - as long as it's a good one I wouldn't mind. Still I don't want to play alphas so I hope the game will be finished any day soon so I could enjoy it. :)

Sort of reminds me of some sort of ANT colony/survival game. Decent effort, not sure on the whole skeleton warrior thing.

Quote"The Hive is a new story-driven fantasy game."So it features a great (and not too short) single-player campaign?
