The Way of Life sees you relive different experiences using three characters at different ages. It sounds like a cool idea and it's free so why not give it a go?
They are planning a Definitive Edition which will be a paid game, so this game is a taster of what is to come essentially.
I tried it out and it seems to work okay, but it's a little bit too on the weird side for me personally. I do like the way your thoughts about something pop up on the screen, that's pretty cool.
The controls feel a little too floaty and there's no explanation of what's actually going on, or what you have to do. You have to figure out everything for yourself. I don't mind games like that at all, Gone Home was a great experience, but this game feels a bit too experimental right now for lack of a better word. I'm hoping the full version will provide a better experience.
About the game
The Way of Life makes the player relive the same life's experiences from the point of view of three characters of different ages: an adult, an old man and a child.
The experiences we want to tell about are very different, they go from a quarrel to a dream, and further to more serious topics like death and love. The main point about the game is that every experience will be told through different gameplay mechanics.
Also, every playable character has his own specific mechanics and a way to see the world.
The player throughout the game can explore and live different stories and feel a variety of emotions in an amusing and captivating experience.

Ah, it seems much expanded from the initial version (which I didn't like much). Nice to see that the Linux support was kept :)
EDIT: Turns out I'm still not a fan of this game. Extremely clunky and expository writing, bad gameplay and not really anything special done with the basic idea. It's still a good idea for a game, just badly executed.
