A developer of Titan Quest commented on their Steam page that they will be looking into Linux and Mac support. Great news, as another positively received RPG would be great for us.

Speaking on this announcement, a developer commented (the same developer who created that announcement if you need proof):
QuoteWe will certainly look into a Mac and Linux port.

Never played the Titan Quest games myself, but they do seem to be rather popular. The name rings a bell though, am I missing something big with this one? Tell me how silly I am for not knowing in the comments.

Thanks for letting me know kilbith. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I need it!
I've tried a lot to get it working on Wine, but always got problems with invisible bodies and unreadable texts.

I still have my physical copy of Titan Quest. I remember not liking the map system but liking the gameplay. if they came out with a DRM free Linux version I'd buy a digital copy to go with my physical.

Edit: It's also the same developer that ported Painkiller HD to Linux and was/is porting Darksiders 2 to Linux, and we know what happened with the Darksiders 2 port, nothing.

No, this is not the same developer. This answer in steam community is from Reinhard Pollice, Executive Producer at Nordic Games. And person who porting Painkiller and Deadfall Adentures and almost done Darksiders is Leszek Godlewski, but he not working anymore in this company (he working in The Farm 51 when he porting Painkiller and Deadfall and next he left developer and join to publisher team Nordic games and trying port Darksider), after that he start working in The Astronaut (Wanishing of Etan Carter) and now he working in Flying Wild Hog.

I had to google the Titan Quest name just to make sure we are talking about the same game. I remember playing this back in the day, it was created in the gap between Diablo II and Diablo III and so was popular with the same gamers. But tbh, while it's a beautiful game it doesn't have the same kind of variety that Diablo II and even III enjoy.

What is strange, I thought the developer studio closed down after Titan Quest? So is this just some of the original developers wanting to port the title. Or have they reformed the studio?

Hmmmm, maybe he should try finish some projects instead of hopping around... Just a thought.

Oh well, that's nice! I might play it again if cross-platform-support is guaranteed! Unfortunately I allready own the game. I might by it on linux and gift it to a friend playing it on Linux. ;)

I'd love to see TQ ported; I had a lot of fun with it about 10 years ago...

Great game! The port comes bit late but it's still good news!

If you are on nvidia you might want try:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
CheckFloatConstants="enabled"
