Exit Fate, the massive 2D RPG has been released for Linux as a fan-made version. In case you are not familiar with Exit Fate, it is an RPG considered among the best by its fans. Explore an entire new world with characters that are grown-up and mature unlike most other RPGs.

Fight for kingdoms, lead your own army, find out who betrayed you, run a castle, recruit and play as many as 75 characters, command thousands in epic wars and much more!

What's more? It's completely free!

Please note that this is a fan-made build, so there could be a few bugs. If found, please report them.

You can view the original version on the official site (which links to Radial Apps for the Linux version as it has permission):

Are these native (MKXP) ports? Just wondering.

Apparently the help isn't completely finished—trying to read entries on Elements, Battles, and Wars got me a little pop-up about missing text or image files and an instant crash. It's also flat-out wrong in places—the cancel key is not B, it's X.

The game itself isn't exactly my cup of tea from the half hour I've played, but that video review made it sound so compelling I'm willing to give it a go.

I emailed the dev and in just a few hours he's corrected these bugs and put a new version of the game up on their site.

"Hello!

I’ve fixed the bugs and also added fullscreen. You can download the new version here:

To save bandwidth and time, I suggest you download the file with low quality music and replace the Audio folder with the one from the old download. This should probably work.

Thanks again for reporting the bug!

Really cool game and so happy this person decided to port it to Linux. On a side note I guess the dev has bandwidth issues from where he or she lives, I believe RadialApps is based in India, so If people have already downloaded the previous version, you may consider downloading the "lower quality audio" download of this new updated version to help him or her out on bandwidth then just replace the audio folder from the old version into the new versions folder.

Love the Linux port of Exit Fate, but there is a bug with the sound. When I turn the music and the sound FX completely off, I can still here the sound effects when the characters attack in a battle. All of the other sounds are silent, but the attack sounds ie sword swinging, wolves biting, grunting, etc are full sound. I like to mute the game while I farm so I can watch a video online while I do it, but this makes it very difficult. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
