Here's a reason I usually tell you not to take SteamDB entries as confirmation of a Linux version. The Hard Reset Redux developers have stated it is not coming to Linux as it hasn't been popular enough for a port.

From the post:
QuoteI'm not aware of any plans to port HR to Steam. HR isn't popular enough to justify the Linux port.

A shame, but not everything works out in our favour.

I got the Redux version on GOG for 1,59 USD, because I have Shadow Warrior 2013... And I have the original DRMFREE thanks to Desura..
For what I saw in comparative gameplays, the original version looks better and it runs on several linux distros via wine/crossover...

Now, is this statement coming from the people at Flying Wild Hog or from the people of Gambitious Digital Entertainment?

This is sad! I was looking forward to this.

"I'm not aware of any plans to port HR to Steam. HR isn't popular enough to justify the Linux port."

Well... Windows isn't popular enough in this house to justify me buying Windows games. I'm buying Linux games only and I buy a lot, too bad you won't have my money.

Whaat?! I was expecting this game!

Sad news

If you didn't posted anything in the steam forum about the port please do it

Maybe that way they'll change their mind about the port and popularity of the game.

Quoting: GuestOh it will be, it has no icons yet, but has the Linux system requirements. Don't donate anything until official support is confirmed though!

I think you're confusing Hard Reset Redux with Shadow Warrior 2.

Seems an odd choice. Our game isn't making money so we won't open it up to an even wider userbase to try to make more money. I get what their saying but I seem this costing them more than they stand to lose by porting it to lackluster Linux sales.

I was wondering if I should buy it, 3$ promo price is pretty cheap, good thing I decided to wait.

Yeah. I did'nt get their reasons either. It's fine. They don't want my money :P
