GOG.com have added in two more Linux titles for your DRM free collections! Dungeon Souls, a pretty cool action roguelike and Knights of the Sky, an older DOSBox title about being a combat pilot.

I've actually played Dungeon Souls before and it's pretty good. Quite hard and punishing the last time I tried it, so if you're a fan of brutal action rogue-likes gives it a go!

And a trailer for Knights of the Sky:

Since GOG don't bundle any libs, for Dungeon Souls you will need:

Probably way behind the times here. I recently took another look at GOG since it is so popular here on Gaming on Linux. I noticed they changed their packaging method from .deb or tar.gz. On Arch I use to have to build the package etc, on the AUR people were tying to make it easy. Eventually lost interest in GOG but now its really easy to install games with their new (or not so new) installer. Very impressed, I will be looking at GOG now as my main source of games instead of Steam. Again I learn something new from the users here thank you!

Hey, glad to hear you decided to take another look at us :) Yeah, the new .sh installers are rather snazzy and you can always unpack them if need be :)

If you ever have any questions, shoot me a PM, I work for GOG and all :)

WOW! Thank you very much. You guys have done a lot since I used GOG last. Very impressed indeed. The Linux library is 3x bigger than when I last looked as well as the new installer. Cannot ask for much more. I am now going to dive into some old classics I miss very much. Picked up a new game (Star Trek 20th Anniversary) today as well. Thanks for all your hard work!

Dunegeon Souls looks interesting. I'm hit and miss on roguelike games but at least it's priced like an early access title. Can't stand when early access costs $30.

Our Linux technicians have done an excellent job with those installers so I will pass on the compliments to them :)

It's ok, I was expecting this response. But I'm not losing hope.

Knights of the Sky... what a blast of nostalgia. I must've played tons of it on the Amiga. Almost as much as Red Baron 2 on the PC a few years later. Don't know how well they've aged though.

I had issues with Dungeon Souls regardless of Java implementation/version I tried.
Crashes, controller malfunctions...

No.
