While we already know that Life is Strange is coming to Linux from Feral, we don't know when, but we do now know that Life is Strange episode 1 will be free from tomorrow.

The interesting thing is that the developers of Life is Strange replied to a user asking about the Mac version here (that link should give you the comment you need at the top). In it they said:
QuoteMac App Store, but be sure to check Feral Interactive's channels tomorrow.

It's already on the Mac App Store as they said, but why keep an eye on Feral tomorrow? Hopefully this will mean Linux too, but Feral do Mac releases as well, so who knows.

Thanks for emailing it in ziabice. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Seems a serious update, who knows....

Been dying to play this. Fingers crossed - I even have some spare money in my wallet after it turned out that Shadowblade didn't play past the chapter select screen - refunded with 2 minutes on the clock.

The LifeIsStrange YouTube account links to an image with the release timings for the free episode. Unfortunately, Mac is listed, but Linux is not. So I don't think we'll get it tomorrow.

Maybe they mean Linux by "PC".

Wait, episode 1 will be permanently free tomorrow?
dmantione Jul 20, 2016
As the Mac port of the game is already available, it is certainly posssible the Ep1 becomes available for Mac only. Depends on how far the Linux port has progressed by now.

The cryptic Feral message is probably related to Life is Strange Mac coming to Steam since it is listed for Steam in the linked pic.

Wait, episode 1 will be permanently free tomorrow?
That's what it looks like yes. So you will only need to buy the additional episodes.

Well, that's awesome, unexpected news. :D

Thanks for confirming (and reporting). :)

That's great. Just remember guys, even if it's free, don't "buy" it yet, make sure it will count as a Linux sale.

My thoughts exactly.

It's showing up in my Linux steam library now, too, but "missing installer".

That seems like it bodes well for a "very soon" Linux release.
