Near Death sounds a bit like The Long Dark, but you're in Antarctica and it sounds like it has a really cool thermal simulation inside it.

It releases on Steam on the 2nd of August, I look forward to trying it out!

Very few survival styled games get me interested, but this one seems very interesting. I love the whole idea of it!

About the game
Not a survival game, but instead a game about surviving, Near Death pits you against an incredibly cruel opponent: Antarctica. Never more than a few minutes from freezing to death in the darkness of polar night, you must reclaim the station from the elements and fight for your life in a terrifying environment that’s more like another planet than the world you know. Despite the lack of high-res textures and modern lighting, I really like it! The atmosphere is so thick I can scoop it with a spoon. Probably not the best release time as it's (mostly) summer around the globe but still it feels amazing. Reminds me of SOMA's last levels at the very deep of the ocean.

It's not clear if there are any supernatural entities at the base though. Something bad happened there after all, didn't it?
