I'm not usually into such survival games, but considering it's a single-player experience where I won't be battered to death by naked people (Hello Rust) it might be worth a shot.
About the game (Official)
“Shadows of Kurgansk” is an adventure game, where you need to survive in an area full of danger and mystery. Your goal is to stay alive and find the way out, fighting
monsters and completing story driven missions.
To stay alive you will need to hunt, gather supplies, build storage and asylums. You will be able to create tools, clothes and equipment. In due time your life will become quite comfortable, but the Zone is not exactly the best place to spend the rest of your time. You will need to find the way out. Even if you fail, remember – death is only the beginning. The beginning of a new journey!
If you check it out be sure to come back and tell us if it's worth it, my budget has been blown this month so I can't check it out right now to give you any proper thoughts.

To me, it looks like a sloppy recreation of Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl with cell shaded graphics. They didn't even bother changing the name much.

Why "sloppy"? Can a game really be sloppier than the original Stalker? It was groundbreaking but flawed because of limited resources and development hell. I think there's some room for a Stalker-inspired game, especially if it comes to Linux. Already in my wish list.

Well, I wouldn´call it "sloppy" recreation of "Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl". Yes it seems similiar, but after STALKER there isn´t much games with Stalker-Theme out there.
Since it is in Early Access it coul be much better with the time. I´ll watch it.

I put this on my wishlist as soon as I found out about it. And although I'm not inclined to purchase it ntil it's further along in its development/out of EAccess, it's definitely got my interest.
And before too many comments are made about Shadow of Kurgansk being a "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. rip-off, or clone, or whatnot, I'd just like to point out that the same could be said for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if one wished.
It's clear that Shadows of Kurgansk is inspired by GSC Game World's [S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow over Chernobyl](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:_Shadow_of_Chernobyl#S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:_Clear_Sky) (2007), which in turn was inspired by/based loosely on the [ The Wishing {or Desire --ed.} Machine"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_(novel)) (Russian: Машина желаний (198?), (which was an adaptation of an earlier screenplay draft of Stalker), the [sci-fi art film, Stalker (1979)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_(1979_film)#cite_note-slant-5) (which was loosely based on the original Strugatsky bros. novel), and Roadside Picnic (1972), the seminal novel by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. Shadow of Kurgansk is just one of the latest media to riff on the Strugatsky original. Indeed, Roadside Picnic is listed as a 2016 TV series at IMDB!
So I'd rather just say that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Kurgansk both have a noteworthy and eerie pedigree whose lineage is apt to extend well into the future.

I'll buy it when it will come out on GOG. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is quite good.
Original idea of the "zone" (for those unfamiliar) comes from Roadside Picnic by Strugatsky brothers.
